S.No Description Responsibility

1.0 Ensure the compliance of PPE by workers and executives. Opn,TOS &
T.Mtce
2.0 Required conditions:

2.1 Unit should be under shutdown condition Opn

2.2 Ensure that no pending LCs, pertaining to Deaerator. Opn

2.3 Ensure that CT pump is in service Opn

2.4 Fill the Deaerator to normal working level Opn
2.5 Ensure that AST header Charged. Opn

2.6 Preheat the Dea water to 75 °C. Opn

2.7 Ensure that CEP is not running. Opn

4.0 Deaerator safety valve floating procedure
4.1 Gag all the safety valves except the one for floating T.Mtce
4.2 Slowly raise the Deaerator pressure by opening AST to Dea PCV B/P gate valve. Opn, TOS
Do not exceed the Deaerator pressure more than 7.6 ksc.

4.3 If the safety valve has not opened for a Deaerator pressure of 7.5-7.6 ksc pressure Opn, TOS

4.4 Close the AST to Dea PCV B/P gate valve Opn, TOS
4.5 Open SM 20 valve from control desk Opn, TOS
4.6 Adjust the spring tension for the safety valve T.Mtce
4.8 If the safety valve has opened note down the pressure at which it opened and closed Opn, TOS
4.9 Close the AST to Dea PCV B/P gate valve. Opn, TOS

4.10 Open SM 20 valve from control desk. Opn, TOS

4.11 Adjust the spring tension for the safety valve to advance or delay the opening of T.Mtce
safety valve.

4.12 If the safety valve opened at the set pressure follow the step 4.13 Opn, TOS

4.13 If the safety valve opened at the set pressure repeat the process for other safety Opn, TOS
valves by following the steps 4.1 to 4.5 T.Mtce

4.14 Prepare a protocol and get is signed for reference. TOS, T.Mtce
4.15 Normalize the scheme after the safety valve floating work is over. Opn
