OBJECTIVE
At the end of the lesson, the learners can :
1. Prepare a business plan
2. Implement the business plan
BUSINESS PLAN
CHAPTER 1
The first chapter states the information about the business that will give the
public an idea what the business is about. Chapter 1 composes the
following:
Business Description
The name of the business or of the product is stated in this part of
the business plan. In here the business owners are describing how
the product looks like, the different flavors or variants if any and the
price.
Industry Background
It is stated in this part the industry or group where your business
belongs to. Examples of industries are food, entertainment and
service. The proprietors also include information how that industry
is doing to prove that the business planned will be feasible.
CHAPTER 2
The second chapter presents the competitors analysis and the marketing
plan.
Competitors Analysis
One of the threats to a business are the competitors. It is good to
make an analysis of the business that has been in the market for a
long time. Proprietors should make a SWOT Analysis (Strength,
Weakness, Opportunities and Threats) to assess their next step.
Marketing Plan
It is where the marketing strategies of the business are explained.
Proprietors includes the logo, the social media sites or websites and
other advertising tools of to promote the business.

CHAPTER 3
Operational Plan
In this part of the business plan the proprietors should state the
information that will make the business fully operational. Below are
the different parts of the operational plan:
1. Monthly contribution
It is stated here the monthly contributions of the 3 different benefits
required by the government to the employers these are the SSS,
PhilHealth, and PAGIBIG. It will show the monthly contributions
paid by the employer and paid by the employees depending on their
gross income. Gross income is the complete salary received by the
employees without subtracting yet the expenses or the benefits.
2. Table for Raw Materials
It also shows the table for the expenses that will be incurred during
the operation of the business that includes the ingredients, utilities
and other expenses.
3. Table for Machine and Equipment
A separate table was also prepared to show the different machine or
equipment used in the business and its cost.
4. Process
The steps on how to prepare the products are also included in the
operational plan.
5. Organizational Chart
The name of the owners and the people under them should be included
in the business plan to show the flow of authority.
CHAPTER 4
Chapter four of the business plan is the Financial Plan. These are the parts of the
financial plan:
1. Source of Funds
This part shows the capital of the business contributed by the owners.
2. Financial Statements
SFP (Balance Sheet)
SCI (Income Statement)
3. Financial Projections for a 1 year

A business plan is a necessary document that will show to the investors, employees and staffs
that there are objectives needed to be achieved within a certain limited time. It may also help
the managers and leaders to analyse their business in terms of financial status, so that it will be
clear to everyone involved in the company that their goals are feasible. Overall, it will serve as
a guide to your business, especially if you want to be one of the most successful
businessman/woman in the business world.
