Introduction
This report is to compare the Design and I/O Specifications provided by the 3 DDCs (namely
AECOM, MMSpa, SYSTRA). Each DDCs have proposed a BMS for Elevated stations as per the
need of CMRL. This report contains detailed review of all the specifics of the design provided by
DDC, the IO Devices placement and control strategies to effortlessly monitor the devices from the
BMS Workstation.

2. Background
SCADA system is inevitable for underground station since it requires constant monitoring of
proper operation of all the field devices deployed and timely control of devices especially falling
under the scope of TVS department. When it comes to Elevated station SCADA is considered to be
superfluous and hence the soaring demand for a BMS is crucial. The following are the minimum
requirements for an Elevated Station to help SCR to monitor every sections of the station in real-time:

 Monitoring of Water Tank status

 ASS, MDB incomer and tiebreaker status
 UPS healthiness and battery status
 Wind Velocity and Wind Direction status
 Interface with S&T SCADA
