“To train staff in comprehensive trauma assessment and
empower them to respond with sensitivity to patients and
family members in order to reduce stigma and improve
physical, emotional, and spiritual health.”
• Raphael Health Center Goal:
“Assist all staff in feeling comfortable identifying trauma
responses in themselves and in the patients that we treat in
the clinic. Educate staff in ways which will assist them to
normalize discussions around trauma, health, and related
barriers during their interactions with patients. Empower
patients to recognize trauma reactions, heal wounds, and
make lasting physical, emotional, and spiritual changes in their
lives.”
