As assigned by our respected professor, today i am going to share my views with you about
CLEAR shampoo which is a popular brand of Unilever Pakistan Ltd.

Unilever Pakistan Limited formerly “lever brother Pakistan”, the largest consumer
goods producing company in Pakistan, was inaugurated formally in 1951. Unilever Pakistan
is the largest FMCG company in Pakistan, as well as one of the largest multinationals
operating in the country. Now operating six factories at different locations around the
country. The Unilever's Head Office was shifted to Karachi from the Rahimyar Khan site in
the mid 60's. UPL moved into the personal care product business in 1981. It has gained a
major market share due to the
introduction of quality brands like Sunsilk, Lifebuoy, Lux and Fair & Lovely. For every
woman who's had to switch to a lighter-coloured jacket even though it clashed with her outfit,
for every woman who refuses to stand under the black lights in the club, the new Clear Anti-
Dandruff shampoo was created for them. Unilever understand that before that perfect date,
before that big presentation, or simply before you step out of the house, the last thing you
want are flecks on your shoulders when it doesn't snow in Pakistan.

The new Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo contains Vita-ACE along with the ingredients
Climbazole and scalp care agents to work on both your scalp and hair. Vita-ACE is a
combination of amino acid and Vitamin E to strengthen and nourish the scalp, while
Climbazole is an anti-dandruff agent that helps to eliminate dandruff and prevent it from
coming back when used as recommended. This means that even if you don’t have dandruff, it
will prevent it and keep your scalp and hair healthy and beautiful.

The Brand Name is CLEAR, is available in 8 types, 2 colours and 3 SKUs.

2 Colours are: Pearl Black. White.

Target Market and positioning

Target marketing is concentrated. Their main target market has been males and females
between the age group 20-40 belonging to the two upper and middle income classes. And in
their promotional activities, they cover only these classes. Let me explain it to u in a simple way.
Go to the board and perform activity.

Statement and this is the reason why CLEAR failed to achieve the reputation and market share which
other Unilever brands enjoyed.
