RE: PINE HARVESTING PROJECT UPDATE.

Dear Sir

I wish to inform your higher office about the subject noted above; it has been completed two weeks
of operation on site at Moce Island.

Please be advised that upon consultations with the Ministry of Forestry Operator on site, the
following statics/ figures were noted and received.

 Short Pine Post @ 1.5m with 56 pieces (Total Volume 2.189m³.)


 Long Post @ 4.2m with 24pieces (Total Volume 3.144m³)
 Log input: No of Logs (34) (Total Volume 9.15m³)
 Log output = 4.436m³.

All pine post for 4 quarters (long and short) has been completed and 1 completed house has also
been completed while referring to the total log output of 4.436m³

Photos were extracted on date of harvesting on site at Moce Island.

If we could be notified on the time we will load all pine post (long and short) for further treatment at
your treatment plant in Suva as all post has been fully completed.

Few Challenges were experienced in the village that delay’s the pine harvesting Project;

 Fiji Cricket Challenges Competition was held at Moce Cricket Ground for durations of 3 days
dated 28th to 30th April. Villagers were fully committed towards officials and players
catering.
 Annual General Meeting for Wasewase ko Lau Methodist Congregation was held on the 4 th
to 7th April 2022.
 Heavy rain and strong Wind were also experienced during the last two weeks of harvesting.

We do acknowledge your office support on the Pine harvesting Project to assist for the better and
quality building at our school.

Your office continuous assistance will be able to foster education in the upper southern to
another level with proper and adequate structures buildings.

This will enable the Ministry of Education, Heritage & Arts and the Government to achieve
their targeted outputs by providing equal access to quality education at all levels,(as
articulated in Fiji’s National Development plan): and ensure inclusive and equitable quality
education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all(SDG # 4,as articulated in SDG
2015 -2030).
