OVERVIEW:

The presentation wishes to inform the General Membership on the latest


update regarding:

1. 2020 APPROVED IIEE CBL :ARTICLE III – Membership Grade


Classification

2. Introduction and Navigational Presentation of the newly Enhance IIEE


Portal including IIEE UID, e-COGS, CPD, Casting of e-Ballot and
also included in this presentation is the Special Features for Chapter
President

3. Presentation of IIEE Membership Benefits

4. Presentation of task and Committee assigned to Membership


Department and other department in IIEE.
2020 APPROVED IIEE CBL :ARTICLE III
MEMBERSHIP GRADE CLASSIFICATION

The membership of the Institute shall consist of


licensed and non-licensed members, as follows:
Section 1.0 Licensed Members

1.1 Regular Members – Professional Electrical


Engineers, Registered Electrical Engineers, and
Registered Master Electricians who fulfilled the
membership requirements;
1.2 Life Members – Regular Members in good
standing and reputation who have fulfilled
the requirements for life membership.

Requirements:

1. Must have 12 years active membership prior to


application

2. Endorsement Letter from Chapter President

3. Copies of IIEE Id

4. PRC Card Copy


1.3 Senior Members – A Senior Member shall
require experience reflecting professional maturity.
To upgrade to Senior Member, the qualifications
are as follows:

1.3.1 Shall be a Life Member


1.3.2 Shall exemplify a significant performance as a
life member of the Institute for at least five (5) years
1.3.3 The Board of Governors shall establish the
mandatory guidelines for this purpose.
1.3 Senior Members
GUIDELINES IN THE SELECTION OF SENIOR MEMBERS
(under Selection and Awards Committee – Deadline of Submission -June 30, 2021)
Criteria

Candidates for Senior Member shall meet the following minimum requirements:

Must be holder of at least a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering awarded by a


school of engineering with a recognized electrical engineering program;
Must be an IIEE Life Member for at least five (5) years at the time of application;
With at least ten (10) years of active professional practice in the field of electrical
engineering; and
Shall have shown significant performance of at least seven (7) years in one or more
fields of electrical engineering including:
Construction
Consultancy
Design
Education
Operation/ Maintenance
Research and Development
Management
Marketing
1.3 Senior Members
Procedures

Candidates for Senior Member shall follow the following procedures:

Accomplish the nomination/ application form for Senior Member to be furnished


by IIEE upon request.

Send out the IIEE SENIOR MEMBER GRADE REFERENCE FORM to three (3) Senior
Members and/or Fellows or in special cases Regular Members who know the
candidate and are familiar with his/ her work experience. They are requested to
fill out the reference form and to send it back directly to the IIEE National Office.
Said form will be furnished by IIEE upon request.

Once the completed application form and the three (3) reference forms are
received by IIEE, they will be presented to the Selection and Awards Committee for
evaluation.

Successful candidates will be elected to the Grade of Senior Member after approval
by the Board of Governors.

(Senior Membership is awarded during Opening Ceremony of Annual National


Convention)
1.4 Fellows - Senior Members who have
qualified and have been conferred the
distinction as Fellow by the Board of
Governors.
The distinction as Fellow recognizes the
exceptional contribution and dedication to
the electrical engineering profession.

Note: Fellow Membership is by Invitation of


the College of Fellows Committee

(Note: Fellow Membership is awarded during Closing Ceremony of Annual National


Convention)
Sec. 2.0 - NON-LICENSED MEMBERS

2.1 Honorary Member – Commendable


individual notwithstanding a non-electrical
professional whose contribution to the
welfare and advancement of the Institute is
exemplary, shall be conferred honorary
membership in accordance with the
guidelines established by the Board of
Governors.

2.2 Auxiliary Member – Non-licensed BSEE


and Electrical Technology graduates who
manifested a remarkable interest in the
objectives and activities of the Institute and
who have complied with membership

2.3 Student Member – Electrical Engineering


and Technology students who are currently
enrolled in a recognized engineering
institution in the Philippines and duly fulfilled
the membership requirements.
