Literature review

Literature review is an evaluative report of information found in the literature to your selected
area of study the review should describe summarise and evaluate to clarify the literature
review and it should give the base for the research and help you to determine the nature of the
research. Similarly literature review is one the most important thing in any report you have to
be more and more focus towards it because it summarise all the topics in one. The literature
review surveys scholarly articles, books and other sources relevant to a particular area of
research of interest. The literature may also identify gaps or controversies in the literature and
topics needing further research.
The format of the literature review may vary from discipline to discipline, and from assignment
to assignment, but the purpose is standard, literature review provides the historical background
of your research, describes issues, debates, theories, concept and related research in the field;
and it also shows how your research will extend these or address a gap.
We have chosen the topic which is factors that affect kids preference regarding confectionary
we have choose this topic because nowadays confectionary have more and more valuable
towards as the world is moving forward kids nowadays have their choice and specially when it
comes to confectionary they are very much conscious because nowadays competition is on the
high side everyone is focus on their health so when it comes to confectionary they choose best
what is best for them so parents preference is also very much important towards them. Well
talking about kids and their choice towards confectionary they also attract from social media as
you can see social media have become more and more important in our daily life so when a kid
see all these things that what brand of confectionary he sees so he automatically attract to that
thing so we can say that social factor plays a very major role towards confectionary and to
attract the kids.
Well talking about kids well kids also attract from their friends because at the very small age
kids don’t understand and more and more focus or attract what he sees just like friend choices,
when a kid see any item of confectionary in the hands of his friend so he will be curios to have
that thing in hand so friend choice is also very much important in kids preference towards
confectionary so these are the things which is very much surrounded.

KIDS PREFERENCE
Kids constitute a major role in the market with direct purchasing power and they are very much
eligible towards buying so they are also very much involve what do they prefer while buying a
confectionary item. In 2007 there was a study in which it was said that kids have a lot of
influence while purchasing such as chocolate, snacks and bakery items. We have seen that kids
do prefer confectionary according to is seasons. Kids also have a major buying preference
towards fun and happiness rather than to provide any factual product related to information
kids don’t even bother to look at those products. There

Through this statement we want to find out how children are influenced by the advertisement
especially in confectionary products. Well advertisement has become more and more
important and influential between kids and every age group the mind and thinking are different
for confectionery so we have set different stages according to children age 1(sensor motor
thought for 0 to 2 age) 2(preoperational thought from 2 to 7) 3(concrete operational thought
from 7 to 12). During preoperational thought children begin to use symbols and
representational thinking, because of the cognitive limitations that are age related, during
concrete operational thought kids begin think logically, but it develop boundries on there
thinking. A survey was done indicated that majority of the television are having adverse effect
in which it results in leading children towards annoying their parents despite of their own
children had favorable attitudes towards certain types of commercials and despite the presence
of doubt children many kids said that they enjoyed particular commercials. It is found that
children are more vulnerable to advertising and the study suggested some measured to limit
excessive advertising to children. Studied says that the impact of food advertisement on kids
purchasing food behavior, research shows that advertisement are playing are greater role in
children purchasing power in confectionery items. In addition to this when the behavior of a
children in examined, it is observed that children consume food which are rich in fat and sugar
while looking at the advertisement and persuade their parents to buy the product seen in the
advertisement.
