DIALOGUE 1
CEO: Mr. Morgan, I have realized from the 2018 report that subscription
to the premium bouquet has reduced drastically. This is a problem I have
identified and it needs to be treated with the urgency it deserves.
MG: That is perfectly right, Sir.
CEO: I will soon call a meeting that will seek to resolve this issue.
Subscription (abonnement) to the premium bouquet must not reduce this
much.
MG: I am of the view that the meeting should be called as soon as
practicable.
CEO: Well, I called you so that, before the general meeting, we identify
any possible reasons that may account for this problem, and draft
measures that could be implemented in order to retain our customers.
MG: I think one way will be to, at least, considerably reduce the
subscription cost for the premium bouquet.
CEO: You are absolutely right, Mr. Morgan. I think when that is done, we
will generate more income for DStv, maximize profit because we will
win back our defected customers and many new customers will subscribe
(s’abonner). When we implement this idea, we can possibly minimize the
rate of customer defection.
MG: It is obvious, sir, that this will be a wonderful idea to start with
during the meeting.

MD: Yes Sir. We only need to implement
strategies that can help our company to
maximize profits. I am of the view that we task
the Marketing Department to take care of that.
CEO: Sounds perfect.
MD: The department ought to work hard at
identifying opportunities that can maximize
revenue for our company.
