Lesson 1: ​I will collect the student’s K-W-L charts to analyze what they

learned from the video and our introductory discussion of the solar system.

Lesson 2: I will collect the drawings and descriptions of the students to assess
what they learned during the lesson.

Lesson 3: I will collect the papers from the introductory activity and the
worksheets that the students completed on their own.

Lesson 4: I will post the students narratives on my teacher website so the


children’s families could see what they would discover on their mission to
either Neptune, Uranus, or the Dwarf Planets.

Lesson 5: To assess what the students know about sundials, I will look at their
recordings and their answers to the question on the worksheet they filled out.

Lesson 6: The students will be assessed on the descriptions that write about
their findings while conducting the moon phase activity.

Lesson 7: The students will be assessed on their predictions and descriptions


of their results. They will also be assessed during the closing the of the lesson
to evaluate what they learned.

Lesson 8: The students will be assessed on the graphs that they create and
the reflections that they write about the experiment and what they learned
about Black Holes.

Lesson 9: The student will be assessed on their descriptions of the telescope


and the Milky Way galaxy when they finish assembling their telescopes.

Lesson 10: ​The students will be assessed on the planets that they created
and the description that they provided about their planets.
