Attempt all the questions below by making Yardstick International College as case:

1. Technology based services require huge amount of investment for which managers
are highly accountable to establish sound justification. As a pioneer in online
graduate program education in Ethiopia, for all the infrastructure and application
requirements that online education requires, it is assumed that, the President of YIC
together with possibly ICT director have established the worth of investing on online
education. Briefly explain how the President and other responsible staff members
have convinced the responsible stakeholders to provide resources to invest on the
required infrastructure and application in terms of the dimensions in IS Role in
organisation (10 points).
2. Managers of 21st century are required to have excellent understanding about the
company that they are managing in terms of dimensions of organization. In
connection to this, by considering dimensions of organization vis-à-vis YIC, (10
points)
a. identify three managerial information systems and explain each with which
specific management (organisational structure) that they can be used with
appropriate example
b. identify three functional types of information system with appropriate
example
c. identify three business intelligence applications and specific individuals that
they can serve
3. It is our hope that serviced delivery in Ethiopia will migrate to the internet platforms
and YIC will perform all its transactions online. In this regard, for instance,
a. YIC will be reporting all its tax and customs related issue directly to Tax and
Customs Authority
b. YIC will request all accreditation related services from Higher Education
Relevance and Quality Agency (HERQA) online
c. A YIC student using the platform provided might also sell used laptop for
another student
 d. Government establishments might be used infrastructure and systems of YIC
to build their HR capacities and make all the payments effective online as well
By considering all the four cases above, identify the e-commerce business model
for each. (10 points).
