Pre-lesson 1. Play a mime or guessing game to review activities vocabulary.


2. Activity 1:
a. Review the story from Activity 1.
b. Play the CD. (track 22)
c. Pupils listen and respond to questions. (Assessment)
e.g. Why do the girls go to the wrong classroom? Do the girls solve their problem? How do the girls
Lesson delivery feel at the end of the story? Why?
3. Activity 2:
a. Organise pupils into small groups or pairs.
b. Distribute sentence strips to groups / pairs.
c. Pupils sequence the sentence strips.
d. Pupils compare their answers before the class check.
4. Post-lesson task 1: Before the lesson, identify a few factual changes you could make to the text.
e.g. Sandy: ‘Once a week.’ instead of ‘Four times a week.’
5. During the lesson, after pupils have worked on a text and understood it, tell them they are going to listen to
the text again but this time there are some differences.

6. Ask pupils to listen and put their hands up each time they hear something different from the original text,
and to be ready to correct the difference.
7. Read out your text with changes.
8. Pupils listen and correct the differences to make it the same as the original.
