This week’s health topic was Nutrition. Rachel took the week off and left us interns a
list of things to complete. On Monday we started working on birthday cards since she wants
us to be done addressing all the ones through August by the end of the week. Taking a break
from that, we did inventory in the storage room and counted all the items we had left and
what we needed to order before next semester. We also checked if we had everything we
need for our upcoming event. Tuesday, we kept addressing birthday cards (we only have a
few weeks left) and due to a power outage, that was the only thing we could do for a while.
Later, we printed out our flyer for this week, as well as nutrition buttons which we made
afterwards. We also packed our wagon for it to be ready for tabling on Wednesday. At night,
As usual, Wednesday was our first tabling day. We had food models at the table for
students to learn about nutrition facts of different products, and handed out lunch boxes,
reusable zip lock bags, and buttons. In total 56 students stopped by. While other members
were tabling for an hour, we used the time to hand up posters on campus to promote our
upcoming trivia night. We also stopped by the Business Office to check out our ordered tote
bags and pots and make sure we could leave them in the building until the event.
