Report 1 (EE308) - Mihir Kumar Srivastava - 2019eeb1172

Specification
We are given a Buck converter with values as Vout = 5V, Fs = 20KHz, L = 1mH, and C = 470uf
and Vin = 12.6, and load current = 200mA.
Using these values, we can calculate the load resistor value Rload from the below circuit.

Inference
The buck converter is a DC-DC converter which converts a high voltage to a low voltage
efficiently. This efficient power conversion extends battery life, reduces heat, and allows for
smaller gadgets to be built.
The error analysis is given below :
For peak to peak voltage :
1. Theoretical value : 2.0053mv
2. Observed value : 2.045mv
3. %Error : (2.045-2.0053)/2.0053 = 1.97%

For rms current :

1. Theoretical value : 43.67mA
2. Observed value : 43.48mA
3. %Error : (43.67-43.48)/43.67 = 0.43%
The error is very less, which implies that the theoretical values are approximately close to
the simulated values from MATLAB plots.
