Thank you for applying to study at the University of Johannesburg. Based on your final Grade 11/12
results you have been PROVISIONALLY SELECTED for a Dip in Sport Management in the FACULTY
OF HEALTH SCIENCES on DFC Doornfontein Campus .

“Provisionally selected” applications (you may be provisionally selected for more than one
qualification) will be reviewed and finalised in January/February 2023.

Provisionally selected for applicants CURRENTLY in Grade 12 means:

1. This is not your final application status. If you meet all the admission requirements and
selection criteria with your final Grade 12 results, including the subject specific requirements
and the relevant endorsement, your application will be ranked based on your final Grade
12 results and space availability. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not
guarantee admission to this qualification.
2. You will not be required to submit your final Grade 12 results in January/February 2023 as we
will receive it electronically from the Department of Basic Education.
3. There is no need for you to come to the University in January/February 2023 to verify your
status. We will send you an e-mail to confirm your application status.
4. Please note that the minimum APS for the above-mentioned qualification is:

In order to improve your chances of final admission in January/February 2023, the University expects
you to achieve the average APS as indicated in the table above (this APS is based on the average
APS score of the previous year’s registered students for this qualification). However, note that
meeting this average APS score does not guarantee admission to this qualification.

1. This is not your final application status. All applicants (regardless of the year in which Grade
12 was completed) applying for the 2023 academic year will be ranked based on your final

AGREEMENT AND INDEMNITY


· You will be required to complete, sign and submit a formal agreement (with the University of
Johannesburg) when you register.
· The formal agreement includes terms exempting the university and persons for whose conduct
it is responsible from, and indemnifying them against, liability arising from damages and losses
you may suffer.
· If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign the required form.
· You will be registered on the strict understanding that you agree to abide by the Student Charter
rules, the Academic Regulations of the University of Johannesburg, the rules and regulations
of the relevant faculty and the policies and procedures of the University as amended from time
to time.
· You undertake to pay the prescribed fees and accept that you are bound by the provisions of
the formal agreement.
