DISCLAIMER
The following report was prepared utilizing industry-accepted standards and practices along with the
proprietary methodologies and analysis tools of Schneider Electric. Data used in this analysis was
acquired by Schneider Electric and provided by others, through onsite discovery, published
information, equipment nameplates, manufacturer ratings, testing, analysis, or other means.
Schneider Electric assumes no responsibility for inaccuracies in data provided by others. The study
is intended for use by qualified individuals to facilitate the installation, operation, maintenance, and
safety of the electrical power system depicted. Modification of equipment, changes to system
configuration, adjustment of protective device settings, or failure to properly maintain equipment
may invalidate these results.

1. MOTOR PROTECTION COORDINATION

1.1. INTRODUCTION
Relate to the new installation of motor in busbar NS6S1E06A (CUB 6.6KV)–CC13, Schneider’s
Expert Center calculate the parameter of SEPAM M20 to protect motor. The purpose is to ensure
that the motor has adequate protection from the relay and any tripping is coordinated. The
protection functions for the motor feeder relay in the scope are:
• Phase Overcurrent (50/51)
• Ground Fault (50N/51N)
• Negative Phase Sequence (46)
• Thermal Overload (49)

The studies were performed using recognized electrical engineering analysis software, in this case
is ETAP version 12.6.
