SQUEAKY CLEAN KIDS

BACKGROUND

Is a social enterprise that creates high-quality soaps out of organic materials, and a soap brand that was
founded to help provide great hygiene and environmental education, livelihood programs and services
to kids and communities in need. It was founded by three doctors, one of them is Dr. Winston Pascual,
who is a public health doctor and has worked for the government health center for 5 years, have
experienced and seen hundreds of sick children from underprivileged families that was living in
underserved communities all over the country. It is said that around 2.3 billion people in the world does
not have proper sanitation facilities and this led to cause of 280,000 deaths every year. Which helped to
the creation of Squeaky-Clean Kids.

Many children from underprivileged families of the Philippines live without proper hygiene. With no
access to soap or basic toiletries, they are left unprotected from infectious, yet preventable illnesses.

Squeaky Clean Kids has conducted hygiene awareness campaigns in Gawad Kalinga Enchanted Farm, GK
Towerville in Bulacan and General Luna in Siargao. It continues to reach out to more communities for
hygiene and environmental education, as well as livelihood programs.

They aim to help in the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals through promotion of
proper sanitation, the recycling of unused soap, and the generation of livelihoods in underserved
communities. The ingredients used by Squeaky Clean Kids was organically grown and locally sourced
from a farm in Lipa, Batangas.

Awards

It was awarded by Sanofi, Gawad Kalinga, and Makesense as one of the Top Five social innovators for
healthy communities in 2017.
