1.1 Paragraph Heading. This paragraph is called the main paragraph. In


most cases, it contains a paragraph title that ends with a period. Only main
paragraphs that have a corresponding title shall have a corresponding
paragraph number. The numbering shall contain the chapter number then a
period and followed by the number of the respective paragraph. The
paragraph title is in title case, bold and indented with ½ inch (for table
manuals and handbooks) and ¼ inch (for pocket-size manuals) from the left
pre-set margin.

In some cases wherein a main paragraph does not have a paragraph

manuals) from the 1st sub-paragraph’s left margin. Likewise, the
justification of this paragraph follows that of the 1 st sub-

written in title case. It is numbered using the Arabic numeral
followed by a close parenthesis starting with “1)”. The number of
this paragraph falls beneath the first letter of the 1 st sub-

(2) However, there are instances when this


paragraph does not require a title. In this
case, this paragraph must conform to this
numbering.

In some instances wherein a 3rd sub-


paragraph has been succeeded with
another paragraph that expounds on the
topic being discussed. In this case; it is
being indented with ½ inch from the 4 th sub-
paragraph’s left margin. Likewise, the
justification of this paragraph follows that of
the 4th sub-paragraph.

 Any enumerations that will fall under


the 4th sub-paragraph will be bulleted.
The bullet shall be located beneath
the first letter of the 4th sub-
paragraph.
 Its contents shall be aligned with the
first letter of the paragraph which is 3
inches from the left pre-set margin.
 These paragraphs shall be
sequenced without line spaces in
between.

 The succeeding enumerations


to bulleted items shall likewise
be bulleted. The bullet shall be
located beneath the first letter
of the preceding paragraph.

1.2 Graphics. The graphics, drawings or illustrations are boxed and are
titled. The title shall bear the word “Figure” then followed by numbers which is
separated by a dot (.) followed by the appropriate title for the figure. The
numbers shall bear the chapter number and the number which starts with “1”;
the title shall be bold and in sentence case, and it is located at the leftmost
corner of the figure, as shown in Figure 1.1, below.
