COMPANY PROFILE
MacroAsia Corporation (MAC), formerly Infanta Mineral & Industrial Corporation (IMIC), was
incorporated on February 16, 1970, to primarily engage in the business of geological exploration
and development. On January 26, 1994, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
approved the change in IMIC's primary purpose to that of a holding company and its corporate
name to Cobertson Holdings Corporation. In November 1995, the SEC approved again the
change in corporate name to the present one. MAC began commercial operations as a holding
company under its amended charter in 1996.
MAC, through its subsidiaries and associates, is engaged in aviation-support businesses at the
Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Manila Domestic Airport, Mactan-Cebu
International Airport, Kalibo International Airport, Davao International Airport, and the General
Aviation Areas. The group provides aircraft maintenance, repairs and overhaul services, in-flight
catering services, airport ground handling services, and charter flight services, and operates a
special economic zone at the NAIA. MAC also operates/develops the sole economic zone within
the NAIA.
The Company operates through its seven subsidiaries which include MacroAsia Catering
Services, Inc.; MacroAsia Airport Services Corporation; MacroAsia Properties Development
Corporation; MacroAsia Air Taxi Services, Inc.; First Aviation Academy, Inc.; MacroAsia
Mining Corporation; and Allied Water Services Inc. MAC also has three affiliates namely,
Lufthansa Technik Philippines, Inc.; Cebu Pacific Catering Services, Inc; and Japan Airport
Service Co., Ltd.
MAC continues to operate under the following subsidiaries and associated companies:
● Lufthansa Technik Philippines, Inc. (LTP), a joint venture, of which 49% is owned by
MAC, with Lufthansa Technik AG. LTP was incorporated in December 1999, to do
aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) in NAIA. With its facilities, LTP is a
globally competitive company offering aircraft and engine maintenance, repair, and
overhaul, with airline clients from almost all parts of the world;
● MacroAsia Catering Services, Inc. (MACS), is a majority-owned subsidiary that
operates in NAIA. It offers in-flight catering to the majority of international airline
clients that fly to Manila, and to Philippine Airlines through its wholly-owned
subsidiary, MacroAsia SATS Inflight Services (MSIS). In addition to this, the group
also caters to the needs of some institutional clients, such as banks, BPOs, and
casinos, outside the airport.
● Cebu Pacific Catering Services, Inc. (CPCS), is the only in-flight catering company
that operates at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA). MAC has a 40%
stake in the company;
● Japan Airport Service (JASCO), a 30% owned affiliate that provides safe flight
operation in addition to value-added quality services accompanied by on-time
performance to 29 carriers operating out of Narita International Airport in Japan;
● First Aviation Academy (FAA), is a joint venture company with an equity sharing of
51% for MAC and 49% for PTC. The JV is a training and skills assessment center for
aviation professionals. The training facility is capable of ab initio pilot training,
certification, and career development courses;
● MacroAsia Properties Development Corporation (MAPDC), a developer/operator of
the sole Special Economic Zone at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and
Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA).
Today, MAPDC serves as a vehicle for the group to become one of the natural
resources development partners in the Philippines, focusing on water re-use,
treatment, and distribution. So far, the company has commenced operations in
Solano, Nueva Vizcaya (Solano Water, 100% MacroAsia-owned), Boracay Island
(Boracay Tubi, 67% MacroAsia-owned) and Naic, Cavite (Naic Water, 100%
MacroAsia-owned).
● Allied Water Services, Inc. (AWSI), formerly Airport Specialists’ Services Corporation
(ASSC), holding a subsidiary of the Group for water businesses. Currently operating
through a 60% owned subsidiary, Summa Water Resources, Inc. (SWRI) which
supplies water treatment equipment and bulk water to private and government
entities in several locations in the Philippines – Balesin, Mactan, Iloilo, Albay,
Bulacan, and Cavite.
● MacroAsia Air Taxi Services, Inc. (MAATS), a fixed based operations (FBO) service
provider like auxiliary service support of executive jets and permitting requirements
of fixed-wing aircraft operators with no commercial presence in the Philippines; and
A trainee must be competitive enough in his or her field of expertise. He or she must
experience all the assigned tasks that a tourism student must-have. The goal and objective
of the internship office are to cater to all the tourism students for them to be satisfied with
the establishment that they assigned to the students. That will also be the reason why a
student will not be competitive if they have the assigned department which is not
applicable to their program.

Trainees must be honest at all times. He or she must be loyal in his or her work. Having a
good passion for his/her work results in a positive output on his job. It was followed by a
positive attitude towards criticism and towards superiors.
The relationship between the training supervisor and a trainee must be good in order to
have an easy doing of the assigned jobs. Strict training supervisors can affect the work
responsibility of a trainee which may cause a strained relationship between them.
Skill reflects one’s proficiency at specific tasks such as operating a piece of equipment,
giving a presentation, or making a business decision. Knowing and learning more about
the job is a good characteristic of a trainee. A trainee can improve his or her skills by
initiating themselves to the assigned tasks that are related to their field. Learning more
about the easy methods of solving problems undertaken in the job is also one of the
acquired skills that they must apply. It was followed by being comfortable in presenting
recommendations, suggestions, and criticisms to your supervisor /peers and open to
accommodate them with an objective and positive point of view and accurate and
efficient work.
