life experiences and attributes a child brings to their
formal learning at school. Diversity includes students
from various cultures; with varied abilities, disabilities,

MULTIPLE
INTELLIGENCE Anything that is worth teaching can
& be presented in many different ways.

DIFFERENT These multiple ways can make use of

our multiple intelligences.

LEARNING STYLE --Howard Gardner

LINGUISTIC INTELLIGENCE
Verbal intelligence is the ability to understand and reason
using concepts framed in words. More broadly, it is linked to
problem solving, abstract reasoning, and working memory.
Verbal intelligence is one of the most g-loaded abilities.

LOGICAL-MATHEMATICAL
Ability to think conceptually and abstractly, and capacity to
discern logical or numerical patterns. Skills - Problem solving
(logical & math), performing experiments.

SPATIAL INTELLIGENCE
known as visuo-spatial ability, has been defined “the ability
to generate, retain, retrieve, and transform well-structured
visual images” (Lohman 1996). It's what we do when we
visualize shapes in our “mind's eye.” It's the mental feat that
architects and engineers perform when they design buildings.

BODILY-KINESTHETIC
The capacity to manipulate objects and use a variety of
physical skills. This intelligence also involves a sense of
timing and the perfection of skills through mind–body
union. Athletes, dancers, surgeons, and crafts people
exhibit well-developed bodily kinesthetic intelligence.

MUSICAL INTELLIGENCE
The musical intelligence is an example of an intelligence
which Gardner defined as an ability to produce and
appreciate rhythm, pitch and timbre or appreciation of the
forms of musical expressiveness.

INTERPERSONAL
the ability to understand and interact effectively with others. It
involves effective verbal and nonverbal communication, the
ability to note distinctions among others, sensitivity to the
moods and temperaments of others, and the ability to
entertain multiple perspectives.

INTRAPERSONAL
Individuals who are strong in intrapersonal intelligence are
good at being aware of their own emotional states, feelings,
and motivations. They tend to enjoy self-reflection and
analysis, including daydreaming, exploring relationships
with others, and assessing their personal strengths.

NATURALISTIC INTELLIGENCE
A person's interest in the “natural” world of animals, plants, and the
natural work around them. It is the ability to identify and classify
patterns in natural environment. Individuals with naturalist
intelligence have a sensitivity to and appreciation for nature.
