NG AND ROOFING
NOTES:-
(I) The rates, for item Nos. 13.1, 13.2, 13.3, 13.4, 13.8 and 13.9 are for height, upto 4 metres, above plinth level. Foradditional height extra
rates shall be paid as follows:-
(a) For item Nos. 13.1 to 13.4, Note. NO. V of Chpater NO. 10, “Concrete” shall appliy.
(b) For item Nos. 13.8 and 13.9, Note No. 1 of Chapter No. 18, “Steel and iron Work”, shall apply.
(II) The rates, for hoisting, are not to be paid over and above the rates, for manufacture of beams, battens, etc; as given in other chapters; as
these rates already include hoisting charges.
(III) The rates, for item Nos. 13.11, 13.13, 13.14, 13.15, 13.58, 13.65 and 13.66 are for work done in first storey. For every additional storey
add Rs. 1.00 per Sqm to the labour, as well as the through rates of item Nos. 13.11, 13.13 and 13.15. For rates of item Nos. 13.14 and
13.58 add RE. 0.50 per sqm to the labour, as well as the through rate; and for rate of item Nos. 13.65 and 13.66 and Rs. 300 per cum.
(IV) The labour and through rates include the cost of water and where the water is supplied by the department free of cost, the rates shall be
decreased accordingly.
(V) Unless specified to the contrary, the labour rates for various items of construction include handling of materials within 100 metres.
Through rate include all rehandling of materials, at the site of work, and no payment is due to the contractors, on this account.
(VI) Unless specified to the contrary, the labour rates include the cost of water, tools and plants, labour and materials for scaffolding and
centring and shuttering and cost of good earth for mud-mortar and mud-plaster, wherever required.
