STEM Work Immersion e-Portfolio Guidelines

A Work Immersion Electronic Portfolio (WI e-Portfolio) is a document that will capture your entire
Senior High School Work Immersion Experience. Specifically, it aims to measure the following:

1. Your ability to appreciate the nature, dynamics, and value of the world of work thereby
expanding your horizons to your career options in STEM disciplines;
2. Your ability to apply the knowledge (concepts, theories, principles) and skills learned from the
Senior High School subjects particularly the STEM Curriculum; and
3. The ability to make connection with the entire Senior High School Curricular,
Co-curricular/Extra-curricular offerings and in understanding/solving issues in school, in the
partner community, and in society in general.

In making the portfolio, make sure that the following components are present:

 COVERPAGE (Include the logo of the school, name/members of the group, inclusive date
of the immersion)
 TABLE OF CONTENTS (give us an impression that your content are logically presented
and well-thought out)
 Group Immersion OVERVIEW/INTRODUCTION (Give us a snapshot of the group’s
immersion experience BUT not to the point that there is nothing more to expect in this
portfolio, at least 1-2 paragraph will do)
 TRAINING PLAN - Final Version of your individual, customized (Must be complete &
tailored-fit to respective research) – 1 per member
 BEST WORKS/EXHIBITS – provide a detailed account of your actual outputs, an
exemplar/best product/service, its outcome (short-term/long-term impact), line-up of
activities participated, hosted/organized, work done report, and list of
accomplishments.
 INDIVIDUAL REFLECTIVE SYNTHESIS (for every member) of your entire 2-Week
Immersion experience. A reflective synthesis covers your experience from pre-
immersion orientation, to first day and actual endorsement, and reflection on the day-
to-day event during your actual engagement, you may include post-immersion activities
for as long as it is related to the nature of your STEM immersion e.g research-related
task, giving-back to the community/presentation to partner communities.
 APPENDICES – (supplementary materials, documents to show that you have
satisfactorily completed the work immersion subject)
o Gantt Chart and Progress Report
o Dissemination of the Research Study
Grading Mechanics

Work Immersion e-portfolio forms part of the 70% of your Work Immersion Subject Grade. To
get the full 70% be guided by the aims and objective of the entire work immersion portfolio, the other
being 30% for Work Immersion Adviser’s Rating. To compute your Work for the Work Immersion e-
Portfolio, a separate peer observation rating sheet shall be used. Sample computation is provided
below:

GROUP SCORE (using the immersion portfolio rubric) x ____% (level of proficiency
results of the peer evaluation sheet) = FINAL INDIVIDUAL WORK IMMERISON e-
PORTFOLIO GRADE (70%).

Submission Guidelines:

1. Download the work immersion e-portfolio rubric. Insert it after the cover page.
2. Compile and organize your e-portfolio entries, submit in PDF format/file. An Assignment Tab
will be created by the work immersion adviser. Only the team leader will upload the group’s
output.
Be sure to double check all required entries.
3. Submit your Group Work Immersion e-Portfolio to your Work Immersion Adviser for grading
purposes;
4. Refer to the attached work immersion portfolio rubric.

TOA: STEM WORK IMMERSION PORTFOLIO – Peer Evaluation
The interaction and dynamics of the team are significantly influenced by the contribution of each member of the team.
Thus, this peer evaluation will help us consider the effort and contribution of each member to the completion of the task. Below
is a matrix describing the level of contribution and collaboration of a member of the team. Please assign a letter signifier that fits the
level of collaboration and contribution of each member. Be judicious in evaluating since this will impact a higher component in the
grade. Thank you so much!
