AREAS COMMENTS
The topic chosen by the writer is really interesting and strategically great
Topic because she personally went to the place. Therefore, it is easier for her to
gather essential information to be included in the text.
The target audience are people looking for affordable clothing, it is
Target Audience clearly stated from the first part when she said something about fashion
and mentioned some prominent vloggers.
The theme is vague at first read because it seems like the author was just
narrating her experience, but as I read it for the second time around I

realized that the author successfully incorporated the theme in the text
and also in its title.
The tone and motif used was very appropriate since the whole text is
Tone and Motif very conversational and it fits perfectly to the narrative genre utilized by
the writer.
Genre/ Type The genre is in narrative text, and it is relevant, appropriate and creative.
The chosen point of view is suitable to the genre and the way how the

ideas were presented from her perspective is appropriately written.

Direction: Read and appreciate the piece below. After reading it, identify its strong and weak

STRONG POINTS WEAK POINTS

 The impact of the text is its strongest
suit because it actually translated to
the readers and let them feel the
emotion the writer was trying to
convey.
 Another strong point was the choice of
genre and the point of view from
which the story was narrated. It is very
appropriate to the main idea of the
text.
 The text’s tone also contributed to the
reader’s understanding of the literary
piece.
 I felt like something was lacking on
the latter part of the narrative text and
it would be better if the author
incorporated more of her reflections
on the conclusion.
 It tackles more of the writer’s
experiences, hence the use of
imageries, but I hope she utilized more
of other poetic devices.
