2022 TFETP

Professional Development Program for Taiwan Foreign


English Teacher and Teaching Assistant

INTRODUCTION OF THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Purpose
In an effort to achieve the 2030 bilingual nation target, the K-12 Education Administration of the
Ministry of Education (MOE) has launched the Taiwan Foreign English Teacher program (TFETP) to
procure English pedagogical talents, transform domestic English education infrastructure, and further
enhance core English skills of Taiwanese students. Initially, inducted faculties underwent Orientation
to acclimate to a distinct professional environment and cultural context. To ensure professional
development opportunities and smoothen collaborative misalignment following a period of in-person
experience, a midterm workshop has been drafted.

Course credit type


⚫ Required: All the TFETP participants are requested to complete the required courses.

⚫ Required Elective: Participants can choose the courses based on their needs or
preference.

Course delivery method


All the courses of this midterm workshop are live stream courses that require the participants to
join at a pre-arranged time.
* The courses will be conducted via either Cisco Webex or Google Meet.
