1 Corinthians 8

As for the things sacrificed to idols,

we know we all know each other.
But knowledge is arrogant
while love builds.
2
If anyone thinks he knows anything,
he still didn't know how to know .
3
But if anyone loves God,
it is known by God.
As for the food of the things sacrificed to idols,
4

we know that in the world an idol is the same as nothing and

that there is but one God .
5
For even if they were so called "gods" either in heaven or on earth
(as there really are many "gods" and many "gentlemen"),
6
But to us there is but one God , the Father,
from which all things come and
for which we live,
and one Lord : Jesus Christ,
through whom are all things, and through him and us.
7
But not all have this knowledge .
But some, being hitherto accustomed to the idol,
eats something as if sacrificed to an idol;
and their mind, which is weak , is defiled.

8
But the flesh does not make us pleasing to God.
we gain nothing by eating from it and
we don't lose anything if we don't eat.

9
But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become free
to become a stumbling block to the weak .
10
For if any man see thee which hast knowledge, let him be thine own.
that you sit at the table in a temple of idols,
his weak mind will not push him
to eat of things sacrificed to idols?
11
And he that is weak shall perish because of this knowledge of yours:
he, the brother for whom Christ died!
12
And if ye have sinned against your brethren, and have wounded their hearts,
sin against Christ.
13
Wherefore, if a food cause my brother to sin,
I will never eat meat,
lest I cause my brother to sin.
