REMEDIAL (yellow group)

There are four seasons. The seasons are summer, winter, autumn, and spring. Summer is hot. The best
thing to do in the summer is to play in the pool. Winter is cold and it is fun to make snowmen. It feels
cooler and leaves fall in autumn. The red leaves are the prettiest. It is warm in spring, and it is fun to go
on picnics. Spring is the worst season because of allergies. Finally, summer is the best because there is
no school!

There are many kinds of pets. Some pets can be birds, dogs, cats, and lizards. Not all animals can be
pets. Animals that can not be pets are lions, sharks, and dinosaurs. Dogs are the best pets, because they
are nice and fluffy. Pets are a lot of responsibility to take care of. Everyone should have a pet!

There are many different flavors of ice cream. Some flavors are chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and mint
chocolate chip. Ice cream is the best dessert. Ice cream is served cold, and melts when it gets warm. Ice
cream can be served with different toppings, like rainbow sprinkles, marshmallows, and gummy bears.
Rainbow sprinkles are the tastiest topping. Ice cream is the best in the summer.

INTERMEDIATE (blue group)

Topic 1: Seasons-
During a year there are four seasons we experience which are fall, winter, spring and summer. In
Fall, the leaves of the trees start to fall down on the ground. The leaves turn from green to yellow, orange
and red. Fall is when students also start going back to school. Then, in winter the temperature falls and we
start to experience cold weather, explaining why people start to wear coats, hats, gloves and scarfs. In
winter, there are also a lot of holidays such as Christmas and Hanukkah. Not everyone celebrates these
holidays, but every student ends up getting a winter break. Winter break is the best break out of the whole
school year. Following winter is spring which typically begins in March. This year it is starting on March
20th. In Spring, the flowers start to bloom. The weather also gets warmer. The best part of spring is not
having to wear coats anymore. Summer is the best season because you can start going to the beach, the
pool and on vacation. During the summer you do not have to go school anymore. Therefore you can
spend more time with your family and friends. One of the best places to go to during the summer is an
amusement park.

Topic 2: Pets-
In my opinion everyone should have a pet. Pets live in your house and you have to take care of
them. For instance, you can have a pet dog. However, you’re going to have to walk and feed your dog
everyday. But more examples of pets you can have are cats, birds, turtles, lizards, snakes, hamsters or
bunnies. There are many more pets you can have but not every animal can be your pet. You can’t have a
tiger as your pet because they are dangerous animals. Tigers are wildlife therefore they cannot be trapped
in a house or an apartment. You can purchase a pet at a pet store. But you can also adopt an animal at a
shelter. Shelters have animals that do not have a home. They are waiting for someone to adopt them and
take them into their homes. By adopting a pet from a shelter you are helping an animal in need.

Topic 3: Icecream-
 Ice cream is a delicious treat that people eat during the summer. But be careful because ice cream
melts easily especially when it is hot outside. There’s a large variety of ice cream flavors. For instance,
there are single flavored ice creams such as vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry. Vanilla ice cream is the best
one. But there are some flavors that are a combination of flavors. These ice creams have more than one
flavor in them. Such as mint and chocolate chip ice cream. You can personalize your ice cream by adding
toppings. Some toppings could be sprinkles, nuts, or fruits. Everyone should put sprinkles on their ice
cream. You can also put your ice cream on a cone and enjoy it like that. Ice creams could be purchased at
a supermarket. But you can also get it from an ice cream truck. Ice cream trucks start to show up in the
streets when it gets warmer outside. The ice cream from the ice cream trucks taste better.

CHALLENGE (red group)

Throughout the year, there are four seasonal transitions. Summer takes place in June through August, and
is defined by its hot and humid weather. I prefer summer due to the variety of outdoor activities you can
do. Winter takes place in December through February and is the least enjoyable season due to its frigid
temperatures. Spring, taking place in March through May, has a much less drastic temperature, making it
the best season to go on picnics. Autumn, which spans from September to November, is similar to spring
in that its temperature is much less intense, but autumn’s weather is much cooler rather than being warm.

There are a variety of different pets that people can acquire. Some examples are different breeds of dogs,
cats, and even multiple species of birds. Dogs are the superior type pet due to their more agreeable
temperament, and their pleasant feeling coat of fur. There are also many animals that would be incapable
of being pets, such as predators like lions and bears, or enormous creatures like elephants. Having a pet is
something that everyone would benefit from.

There are a multitude of flavors one can choose from when acquiring ice cream. These flavors can range
from simple and common examples, like chocolate or vanilla, to more complex mixes of flavors such as
rocky road and neapolitan. Neapolitan is clearly the superior choice, as it allows for you to experience
multiple flavors at once. A variety of different toppings can also be used to embellish your dessert.
Similar to flavors, there is also an abundance of different toppings, such as rainbow sprinkles,
marshmallows and gummy bears. Rainbow sprinkles are truly the most delectable of toppings for your
confectionary treats.
