Induction

1. This is an Internship programme on Aeromodelling, Design and Analysis of Fixed-Wing Aircraft. This
programme will help you study basic design calculations, and importance of fixed-aircraft in today’s world.
2. This Internship will consist of live sessions and reference material. We shall also provide you with open
source videos which you may watch if you wish to gain additional knowledge about design and construction
of UAVs.
3. We shall also provide you with a book, to understand the basics of flight, and basic to advanced research
papers in the field of aeronautics and UAVs.
4. This Internship is designed for students who do not have prior knowledge or have less knowledge of aircraft
design.
5. In case of any doubts regarding any concepts about aircraft design, you may contact the internship
coordinator/Team Captain.

Benefit:
1. Candidates will gain basic knowledge in the field of Basic fixed-wing aircraft
design
2. This internship is beneficial for students who wish to pursue higher studies in
the field of aeronautics.
Why study the basics of aircraft design?
1. Fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles are in high demand in today’s world in
comparison to any other vehicle
2. Fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles are used in various fields, on a large
scale; Examples: Geological Surveys, Border Surveillance, Delivery Systems,
Attack Drones, Urban Surveillance etc.
3. This Internship will give you a basic idea of how fixed-wing aircraft fly, Basics
of Aerodynamics, Flight Physics and Design Process of Fixed Wing
Aircraft.
Interactive Sessions:
1. We will conduct 2-3 live theory sessions in 1st, 2nd week. 3rd and 4th week will consist of a
Task and Demonstration. Timings will be informed on the day of the session.
2. Our team will make sure that no doubt is left uncovered.
3. Make sure, you make notes during the Live Sessions.
