Basics of WoD Character creator

The character creation process act as follow:
 There is a character creation process, where you can switch between Creation points, Freebie points and
XP points.
 When the character is created, you toggle to finished character, and you can only add XP points.
 When you open a previous character file, you can’t change previous XP points, unless you Edit the
character.
 You can Edit the character, in order to modify the Creation, Freebie, and XP points.

 Toolbar : You can change language, open, save files and generate PDF.
Character switch : Change the type of character (Mage, Vampire, or Werewolf)
Character mode : Character creation process
Tab : You can switch between Merits & Flaws and GM Tools (and Gifts for Werewolf)
Merits & Flaws : You can drag & drop items, and suppress them with ƒ
In creation mode : the Merits/Flaw consume freebie points
In XP mode : the Merits/Flaw consume XP points
Dropping a Flaw already present will buy it back with XP
Tab : You can switch between character sheet and descriptions
Dots : Increase or decrease a score :
Set the score to the selected dot
Drop the score, including the selected dot
Characters panel : List of all character in the selected folder.
You can hide this panel by clicking the vertical button.

Character creation process

When you create a New character, you need to process by steps:

Creation mode
Fill all dots you need, according to allowed points to split. When done,
click to “> Freebie points”. You can drag-drop Merits & Flaws, but it
will consume Freebie points.
Set the score to the selected dot
Drop the score, including the selected dot
For Mage or Vampire character, don’t forget to check the Clan disciplines (except for Caitiffs), or the Affinity
sphere. For Werewolf, be sure to choose Breed / Auspice / Tribe to set all base stats & gifts.

Freebie points mode

You can spend freebie points where you want. The freebie counter
doesn’t lock the character progression (some DM give more or less
freebie points).
You can drag-drop Merits & Flaws to consume freebie points.

Click on “Ok, finished !” when done.

XP mode
When the character creation is done, you can’t modify previous points, unless switching to “Edit character”. All
the dots and Merits & Flaws now consume XP.
If you add a Merit like “Additional Discipline” or “Dual Affiliation”, check the new Discipline / Sphere. You can’t
remove a Merit & Flaw that have been chosen during the creation process; you can buy it back with XP, or edit
the character.

Specialties
You can add a specialty in an ability by double-clicking the text, and editing it.

GM Tools
The “GM Tools” panel allow specials modifications to a character
sheet: you can add or remove dots without consuming any XP or
creation / freebie points. It is useful for the loss of Humanity / Virtues,
or for free points allowed by the DM.
To enter in GM Mode, you must be in “XP Mode” without editing the
character, and switch “Dots forcing mode” to On. You can remove a
modification from the list by pressing ƒ as long as the switch is on.

Drop the score, including the selected dot

The loss appears with empty red dot, the gain appears with full
green dot
Be careful: the software remembers when the point has been added / removed to calculate the XP. So, the
modification appears in the list with the according levels.

Customisation
The software is delivered with CSV files (you can open them with Excel) you can modify (preserve the data
structure). You can modify XP cost used in calculation, and add custom abilities.

Updates, suggestions
The software will be updated, and you will be notified when launching it.
