1. How are you for the past days since we see everything now is back slowly to normal?

The lockdown gave each of us a detriments and a critical opportunity open for advantages. The happiest
moment of being with our loved ones; on the contrary, there are people who are unable to go home
due to some circumstances and spent the rest of the lockdown far from their home country or area
originated. For these past few days, we see everything now is slowly going back to normal. In fact, is it
really okay to be relieved with what is happening right now?

A few instances of changes such as: allowing concerts, fans able to attend awarding shows, stadiums,
minimal restrictions in malls and stalls for kids, occasionally going in trip and etc. Just a week ago, the
eyed most sold out concert of BTS garnered 214,000 attendees. I was worried of the ARMYS' (fans of
BTS) condition. In helding a concert it is normal to be carried away of the emotion such as shouting and
screaming that mighy be be a huge cause of the spread of the Sars-Cov-2.

Filipinos love in socializing in social networking sites or even in person is undeniable. When they met for
the first time in a while, they tend to exaggerate. Kisses and hugs even when it is not allowed. This kind
of acts of some individual tend to overrule even disregarding the health protocols. I live in a rural area
and most of the people here doesn't mind wearing mask. It is because of the belief "We knew each ah
other so we don't mind at all." My negative thoughts never retracted in putting actions.I became over
sensitive and too wary. For the past few days, I just enjoyed the moments together with my families.
What matter the most our happiness; yet the fear of the new discoverrd variant is somewhat ending our
lifelong wish. I am still holding on with the deadlines and academics related matters. The possibility of
face-to-face classes in Negros Oriental State University made me feel anxious at the same time relieved.
Even when there is uplift changes that we sometimes think that this might be a first step to go back
where we really started. However, it made me feel anxious due to the fact of rising COVID-19 cases.

People feel view this circumstance as "new normal" and part of our lives.

2. How you see your own Mental Health now?

I wonder when will I be able to get a good night sleep, no stress from academics, eat at right time, take a
break or able to socialize with friends without worry. I can't say that I am fine but I am barely holding on
and enduring the journey. Whenever I look at my parents, I got to say that I have to do well.
Most of the time, I spend my entire day working on my modules and assignments. So before I go to bed,
the only thing that I think is school works, nothing more and nothing less. Unfortunately, it is normal
routine to sleep at one o clock in the morning and get up early. Due to bombarded activities, I feel like I
am not well especially that I overthink of some things such as, did I do well? Is it not enough? How much
time do I have to make it in the deadline? Everyday, I worked for the sake of not missing any tasks, but
not really to gain knowledge. Online classes for me is more likely to be able to passed but not to learn
and be productive. Because of overloaded with activities, it affects my emotions someone I am talking
to. An example is when my sister order me to get her dress and shoes, I am easily annoyed and enraged.
Coping up with all of these is tough and difficult. But then, I should let my negative thoughts take me
over.

Sometimes I'm okay, sometimes I'm not. I barely hanging on to every activities and personal problems
that they expected me to do and to pull through. Watching korean dramas and looking at my family
makes me feel that this type of obstacle is nothing from the happiness I experienced in my life. A simple
gesture to be grateful to God encouraged me to breathe out my lack of courage.

3. How do you see sexism in the advertisement?

Sexism is common in the advertisement. In this day and age, the stereotyping of a ceratin gender is
shown not just in media insdustry. It gives impact in driving the audiences to buy the preference product
- gender based or may not be.

The skincare products usually enhances a certain individual to lighten or smoothen their skin whether
facial or body purpose. As far as I observed, only appealing, silky skin and skinny women was portrayed
in advertisements. Most of the time are those influential women and I never ever once watched a
skincare products advertised by a gays or a man. Women is expected to act in prim and proper which
obviously shown in the advertisement. Itbis being thought that a pretty women might be better to make
the audience like it especially if they are their fans which is common and might urge to immediately buy
the product. On the other hand, when it come to being athletic, it must be a man. In a certain Pinoy
commercial, only men is depicted in sports related matter that needs a lot of strength. Men were
expected to be muscular and physically capable by comparing the ability of the women which is viewed
as weaker.

4. As millennials how can you help addressed situations with how the advertisement world use women
and men in endorsing products? Data policy and voicing out
In the world of media, what they think as the benefit to them is what they only used and make money
out of it. The sales and rating is pretty much they cared compared to the feelings and fear other people.
In sexism, we can all contribute even in just minimal effort.

To address the issue in advertising of men and women in products is to simply voicing out our opinions.
We live in the digitak world, just one click can changed perspective and life of a certain person. To
communicate well is to join a group of concerned individual, gather information, dessiminate a factual
statements by creating a poster in this matter and encouraging friends to support and joined. The most
significant is to used with right data policy. As a Gen Z, using the Internet is apparent and to put extra
care. Commenting, disseminating and sharing is one of the few that I can contribute. When a product
shows extreme stereotyping not just in gender roles bit also in different manner must be suggested to
take an action immediately. Never be influenced by an well known individual in endorsing a product that
we might be aware of the consequences and expenses.

5. What is material sexism in school setting?

Sexism is also portrayed in school in acdemic matter. This refer to the biased treatment on their
capacity, bahaviour, and lifestyle to a certain person towards the students differences in gender. In
school-setting, academics matter which means to do better in area. It does not only by saying trying my
best but to excel and prove the capability. Even elder person picked the boy students as intelligent
compared to the girls. The treatment of the boys is indifferent. They see the female students as
someone who is conscious with appereance and only have knowledge in beauty products; but not in
academic related. Male students are good in mathematics which often being compared to female
students; They praised the exceptional excellence of the male students and used the term, "laki man ka
muna kabalo ka."

Another thing is girls are expected to be garceful. This means the teachers or some classmates outlook
the actions of the girls giggling while talking to the boys as sign of disrespect and flirty. On the other
hand, when a boy laughs together with a girl is just nothing. The girls are expected to be proper and
graceful which means to act like one. In addition is the stereotype of uniform that a men must wore. A
transgender doesn't have a choice but to wore a uniform fit to his or her sex.

Next is the divison of sitting arrangement groups into two. The other side is for the boys and the other
corner is for the girls. I experienced this kind of setting inside the classroom.

Lastly is when using strengths such as extracurricular activities. In gymnasium setting PE classes, it is
expected for the boys to get high grades than the girs especially when physically capable is the main
focus. That is why in choosing a groupmates, boys prefer to be with their own group than creating a new
classification with girls.
