UNIT 3: MECHANICS OF THE GAME (Sipa, Luksong Tinik, and Tumbang Preso)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Create your OWN VERSION of the game (as assigned by your Instructor). Fill out
the table below and film yourself playing it.

2. This task can be completed either by a group or by an individual.

3. Before starting the game, make sure to warm up. Wear the PE
uniform/alternative PE attire (white shirt and jogging pants) during play.

4. Check the condition of any equipment or facility before use to see if it is suitable
for play.

5. Submit the table sheet and upload the video in the google classroom.

6.Rubrics are attached as reference in grading your work.


TRADITIONAL GAME TUMBANG PRESO

 The game's primary objective is to knock down the


OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME guarded can. Players use slippers to hit the can and they
should retrieve the same slippers without being
caught/tagged by the guard

* Before the game will start, the players should play

MECHANICS OF THE * The players will draw two toe-lines on the opposite
side of the circle and those two toe lines that is drawn

* The hitters are divided between the two opposite


sides. Each team of players will only be given 2
pamato to hit the can.

* The hitters should toppled the can, and once the can
is toppled they will have the chance to retrieve their
pamato.

* If their pamato cannot hit the can, did not reach the
other side of the team and cross the border line drawn
then they cannot retrieve their pamato.

* If their pamato goes onto the other team's side and


does not go beyond to the toe line set then the group
that is on that side have the chance to use their pamato.

* If the pamato's are all used up and they did not


knocked down the can, does not reach the other side of
the group or crosses the toe lines at the very back the it
will chase them until the it catches on of them.

* The hitters can only retrieve their pamato if the it


will not caught them getting their pamato.

* The first hitter that the it will caught will be the next
it in the game.

 Players must have slippers. The slippers serve as the throwing


objects that will be used to precisely hit the can.
 The It and the hitter must never cross over to each other's zones
RULES AND REGULATION unless under the following conditions. If the It will tag a player
without slipper and the player throws the slipper.
 Every hitter must throw the slippers. If not, he or she will be the
IT in the next round.
 The It will never tag a player if the can is knocked out.
