About Pegasus Events Private Limited:-

Pegasus Events Pvt Limited is an event management firm based in Mumbai, The
company was registered in 2005 & was started by 8 friends of Rotary Club of Churchgate
with each investing Rs. 25,000 as initial capital to accumulate Rs. 200,000 to kick off the
project. Initially the company started with organizing small birthday parties and yacht parties
near Gateway of India. The company struggled to survive in the initial years as lack of
returns caused half the Board of Directors, still pursuing their studies leave for completing
their education & greener pastures elsewhere. The company reviewed again in mid-2007 with
5 of the initial 8 board of directors taking the company as a fulltime career.

The company falls under the private sector and has company strength of 25 people in
house and a vendor database for more than 400. The company organizes events throughout
India. The company is divided into four major departments.

(1) Business Development


(2) Accounts
(3) Production
(4) Client Servicing

Offices:-

Pegasus Events Pvt Ltd. has two offices out of which one is located at Fort, Mumbai
& the other is located at Worli. Both the offices differ from each other in the terms of
ambience as both have completely different uses, though both fulfil the corporate look
required to channel positive outcome.

The Fort Office is the accounts office and the Worli office is the operational office.
The fort office located at the 3rd floor of Hotel Benazir & is divided into four sections.

(1) Head of accounts department & Managing Director Mr. Zaid Athania’s office.
(2) A cabin for two of the subordinate accountants.
(3) Cashier’s office.
(4) Meeting room.

The other office is located at Gandhi Nagar above Mikasa Auto garage at Worli, the
office is divided into 3 sections;-

(1) Operational Area


(2) Conference Room
(3) Storage Area
Accounts:-

The annual turnover of the company from April 2010 to March 2011

` ` was in between Rs. 2.2 Cr to Rs. 2.30 Cr increasing from Rs 1.7 Cr the previous
year. The growth rate has been very good, as the company as managed to hold on to the
existing clients by providing quality services and hence getting more and more business
from them , while making new clients through the industry and the recommendations of
the existing clients. Pegasus Events Pvt. Ltd. is a premium event management company
and it only does corporate events, thus attracting corporate giants and now Pegasus boasts
of client lists of clients like Tata motors, Bentler Automotive (Germany), HLR Johnson,
Davidoff, Anchor offshore, Raheja Fortis hospitals etc.

Functioning, competitions & staffing:-

Pegasus Events Pvt Ltd. has a small staff compared to its counterparts & competitions
like Wizcraft & 360 degrees as they are relatively young in the market and like the others
have been started with a small capital, though with the quality of the service Pegasus has
been providing since their revival, they have managed to make a brand name out of their
name in the events market.

Staff is divided into four departments and under every department head there is a team
that works according to the requirement of their respective roles. The company
outsources its requirements to its vendors depending on the area of the event and the kind
of service or material required.

Employee Benefits & Profits:-

The employees who have been a part of the company since its revival
have benefited a lot as there has been a constant growth in the terms of experience as
well as their pay package. Being a small staff there is a cordial relationship between
all the high level employees, the board of directors and even the lower level
employees.

The employees are entitled to 4 day vacation with all expenses paid
trip to Goa every January and also are called for celebrations for celebrating the
success of every major event. The employees get regular bonuses every 3 to 4 months
depending on their performances. Thus maintaining a healthy and professional work
environment.

Conclusion:-

Pegasus Events is a socially responsible company as they organize


different camps on small scale levels with different NGO’s for poor and blind
children once every month and anybody who is known to be close to the board and
team have benefitted in some or the other way time to time.

Pegasus Events Pvt Ltd. is certainly heading into the right direction as
they have used quality to fill the gap of the competitors who enjoy a larger market
share and are sure to be progressing to new heights if they retain their quality.
According to our observation the company is successful because of the work ethics
and mentality of its board and team.
