• Introduction:-
Agriculture in India is a majar economic secter and it is the backbone
of the Indian economy. It creates plenty of employment
opportunities as well about 65% of Indian population depend directly
on agriculture and it accounts around 15% of crop.
The RAWE (Rural Agriculture Work Experience) is conducted in the
4th year of B.SC agriculture The main aim of the programme is to
acquaints the student with the villagers and their farming situation
so, that they can have practical knowledge of the Agriculture.

• Rural Agriculture Work Expreience:-


Agriculture education is an important tool and technique in ensuring
gradual increase in AG. Productivity and sustainability in productivity
environmental and ecological security profitability technical
feasibility, job security and equity in distribution.

• What Is RAWE:-
Agriculture education is a dynamic one, in India Randhawa
Committee (1992) recommended the RAWE Programme for
imparting quality, practical and programme for imparting quality,
Practical and productive oriented education for the agriculture
degree programme in fact, Experimental learning is exactly what the
name implies learning from work experience.

• Imortance Of RAWE Programme:-


➢ Preparing agriculture graduates for better career in agriculture.
➢ Preparing agricultural graduates oriented education to face the
challenges by acquainting knowledge and skill through hands on
experience.
• Objective Of RAWE:-
➢ Understanding the rural life by students
➢ To get familiarize with the socio-economic conditions of the
farmers and their problems with reference to agricultural
development.
➢ To develop confidence and communication skills in students for
solving problems related to agriculture.
➢ To provide an opportunity to the students for practical training
in crop production through work experience.
➢ To develop the understanding regarding agriculture technology
being followed by farmers and to prepare alternate farm plant
to suit to the local situation in consultation with farmers.

1. The Head of the village is less educated. Not able to work well
2. The maximum work of the current Village Head is done by the

➢ The community health center is located at KHOHI which is
5.6km from village.
➢ Primary health center present civil hospital is 8km from village.
➢ The Govt. hospital is in chitrakoot dham karwi (UP) 20km from
the village.

Note :- Problem – Medical facilities not available in the village.


• Safe Drinking Water:-
➢ Clean water is supply in village houses through pipelines and
taps.
➢ Tap facility are available in most of the house in the village and
handpump and well are also available in the village.
➢ The village has the facilities of a pond for drinking water to the
animals and wild animals and also uses the water of the pond
for domestic use.

• Power Facilites:-
➢ Electricity is available in the village for 18 to 20 hours
➢ Candals are used when there is no electricity in the village.
➢ Solar panel electricity in 14 house.
➢ Meters are installed out side each house.

➢ Farmer is included in the middle class 10%
➢ Only 5% of farmer are large farmer.
➢ There are also 10% people who do not have land.

• Irrigation Facilites Available:-
➢ In the field of semaria jagannthwasi they use borewell and
wells as a means of irrigation.
➢ In this village due to non- availability of canals, river, tanks they
are not able to summer season crop.
• Method of irrigation:-
➢ Crops are irrigation in the field by making beds and by flood
method.

• Implement and Machinery:-
➢ The fields are plowed bybthe tractor and not by the bullock
Like:- cultivator, rotavator, Plough etc.
➢ No machine available for harvesting crops in the village only by
labour and family member.
➢ Sowing of seed by seed drill and fertiseed drill machine
available,
➢ Sprayers and dusters are used for spraying chemical pesticide.
• Available of Agriculture Input:-
➢ There is no seed stock in the village one has to go to khohi
market 5km away from the village to buy seed.
➢ Fertilizer / Insecticide / weedicide purchase near market

• Markets:-
➢ Villagers take agriculture produce to market khohi and
majhgawa to sell grain.
➢ Villagers also come to sitapur Mandi and local chitrakoot to sell
vegetable.
➢ There are no weekly market available in village.
• Road Facilities:-
➢ The road in the village are made of concrete and the roads
leading to the field are made of mud.
➢ A paved road is available outside the village which connect the
roads leading to satna and chitrakoot
➢ On these road through, Auto, Taxis, Trucks, Trecter, Raw,
materials are sent to the cities.

• House facilites:-
➢ Toilet facilities are available in pakka houses of the village and
toilet facilities in kachha houses are almost equal.
➢ Toilet facilities have been provided to 100 families by the Govt.
in the village.
• Domestic Fuel In Village:-
➢ People in the village use wood (95%) for cocking food in the
abundance and LPG gas (5%) facilities is very less.
➢ Does not use electronic machine for coking food in the village.

• Extension Communication Facilities in village:-


➢ The people of this village participate in a extension programme
in MGCGVV chitrakoot dist. Satna (MP)
➢ Post office near by Semariya Jagannth wasi distance from 0 km.
➢ KVK is located Majhgawan and distance from village 35km.
➢ There are no SHGS & NGOS in this village
• Credit Facilities:-
Use of credit source like co-oprative credit society and commercial
bank only 3 people and 97% people credit source use non-industrial
Like- relative and friends.
Note:- Problem – Villagers have no idea about KVK ans they do not
get any help from it.

IDENTIFY PROBLEM LIKE


• Village:-
➢ The poor are getting less and the rich people are getting more
of the housing scheme by prime minister
➢ In any schemes run by the Govt. they do not get the
information.
➢ Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi Yojana in which two thousand
are given 50% of the farmers are not benefit of this scheme.
• Crop Production:-
1. Unavailability on inputs.
2. Lack of labours at the time sowing harvesting weeding etc.
3. Less sources of water.
4. Lack of knowledge about production.
5. Problems in controlling of weeds.
6. Lack of knowledge about pest and disease and their
identification which causes less yield.
• Adoption of Modern Technology:-
1. Lack of knowledge about new techniques.
2. Lack of skilled labours.
3. Maintenance is high and costly.
4. Lack of organization of training class.
5. Lack of knowledge about govt. funds for new equipment.
• Animal Husbandry & Live Stock Management:-
1. Cost of milk is low
2. Expensive cost of concentrates.

• Suggestion Of Farmer Future Work:-


My suggestion is to farmer that the he should grow the paddy crop
by SRI method by which he can increase crop yield with minimum
cost. As well as he should contact with various information sources
such as KRISHI VIGYAN KENDRA (KVK), RAEO & avoid Pvt. Company
agent. He must be test his soil before the cultivation of crop by which
he can full fill all the defencies of nutrients as well minimax the
toxicity of element & make health soil and crop.
