Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment
Guarentee Act,2005 (MGNREGA)

Mahindra was established in 2012. Mahindra and Mahindra ltd farm

equipment sector (FES) has announced that it will manufacture a new
tractor series called K2 exclusively at the company’s tractor
manufacturing facility at Zaheerabad in Telangana. KT Ramarao,
Telangana industries minister said : The government of Telangana is
very grateful to Mahindra for their new investment in Telangana. K2
tractors have been designed in collaboration with Mitsubishi, and their
manufacturing in Mahindra’s plant in Zaheerabad would be a matter
of great achievement for the entire country. Zaheerabad is Mahindra’s
youngest and largest tractor manufacturing plant in terms of capacity.
The facility also manufactures the company’s next generation range of
Yuvo and Jivo tractors, including the recently launched plus series of
tractors.
Currently Mahindra is the only tractor manufacturer in Telangana
and has invested nearly Rs.1087 crores at its facility in Zaheerabad.
The farm equipment manufacturing unit employs over 1500 workers
with a capacity of over 1 lakh tractors per year on a 2-shift basis.
The plant also produces Mahindra’s rice transplanter and tractor
mounted combined harvesters. Besides manufacturing farm
equipment, Mahindra’s auto motive division also manufactures a wide
range of cargo and passenger vehicles at the Zaheerabad plant.
The proposed investment will create an additional 800-1000 jobs at
Zaheerabad, where the company has already been manufacturing
tractors since 2013.
Rajesh Jejurikar, executive director (auto and farm) Mahindra and
Mahindra said : we are delighted to consider expansion of the current
manufacturing unit at zaheerabad for our new EV manufacturing
investment. This investment will help continue our leadership position
in electric 3 wheeler category.
FACTORIES
There are two factories in this village- Coconut and edible oil.
Coconut oil :-
It comes from the nut of the coconut palm. It contains medium-
chain fatty acids, including capric acid, caprylic and lauric acid.
About 52%-85% of coconut oil is made up of saturated fats called
medium chain fatty acids. It has a moisturising effect when applied to
the skin.
People commonly use coconut oil for eczema and growth in pre-
mature infants. It is also used for psoriasis, obesity, breast cancer,
heart diseases, MS, and many other conditions but there is no good
scientific evidence to support these uses. Coconut oil is likely safe when
applied to skin.

Edible oil:
Edible oil or cooking oil is fat of plant, animal or microbial origin,
which is liquid at room temperature and is suitable for food use.
They are often labelled “heart-healthy” and recommended as an
alternative to sources of saturated fat, such as butter, lard, and tallow.

In India groundnut, mustard, rapeseed, sesame, safflower, linseed,

niger seed and castor are the major traditionally cultivated oilseeds.
Soyabean and sunflower have also assumed importance in recent
years. Citric acid is often added to edible oils before their deodorisation
and its decomposition products are also efficient as synergists of
tocopherols.
