Acceptance Criteria of Leak Test

1. Leak Identification
Leak identification shall be done if water has filled pit for 48 hours. The identification shall be
done in dry weather to see any difference color in certain area of wall due to water. In any
case of rain, the identification shall wait until minimum 12 hours to be commenced.
a. Seepage
Seepage is the condition when the wall gets moist and shows difference color due to
water content. As long as no water drops from the difference color area, the wall
doesn’t need to be repaired.

b. Spurt
Spurt is the condition when the wall continues water (in liquid form) from one of its side
to the other side. If water drops are found, the wall needs to be repaired.

2. Crack Identification
Crack identification and measurement shall be done when spurt is going on.
3. Remedial Method
a. Concrete Chipping
Concrete chipping shall be done on all identified spurt.

b. Repair Injection
The injection process shall be done to identified crack from top to bottom and from
inside to outside. The material to be injected shall be polyurethane product of “FOSROC”
or “SIKA”. Injected material shall have curing time for 24 hours. The whole repair process
shall be done by experienced personnel. Water inside pit shall be removed after all
repair process finish.
