METHOD STATEMENT FOR INSTALLATION OF THE ALUMINIUM

CURTAIN WALL GLASS AND CLADDING AT MAIN TERMINAL BLDG. (AIR SIDE)

This Method statement is prepared to describe the method for installing curtain wall glass & cladding at Main
Terminal building (Air side from axes 1 to 16 ).

This Method upon approval will also be used on other buildings of similar works in future.

1. REFERENCE DOCUMENT
- Approved Material submittal.
- Material Data Sheet.
- Approved shop drawings (sub. 1242)

3. EQUIPMENT

 Magnetic Drill
 Aluminum cutter
 electric drill
 SDS drill
 Battery drill
 Fixing tools

4. MATERIAL

 Steel bracket (powder coated)

 Throw bolt M12 with note & washer.
 Anchor Bolt HILTI M12
  Socket head bolt M10 .
 Aluminum profile Schouco.
 Water Proofing membrane.
 EPDM gasket.
 Glass GL-04 (55.04 mm)
 Aluminum Composite Panel (6 mm FR- 4mm)

5. METHODES OF INSTALLATION:

1. Pre-qualification test (thru Mock up) will be done prior for installation.
2. Check the installed steel Beams (levels and dimensions).
3. Complete Suspension for aluminum curtain wall Frames with steel brackets and Required Adapters
without Fixing any bolt from axis 1 to 16.
4. Assayed all aluminum frames vertical and horizontal by levels as approved shop drawing from axes 1
to 16.
5. Define Brackets and Mullion Bolts Holes after confirm the alignment for the whole Assembled
elevation.
6. Fixing all steel brackets with Mullions and steel structure beams.
7. Install All Accessories (Gaskets, Glass Supports …..etc.)
8. Install the Glass Panels or Cladding.
9. Install the Insulation between Concrete and Aluminum around the Opening (Backer Rod and Silicone).
10. Final test will be done as for the final acceptance of Client.
11. Clean the completed works and prepare for inspection and approval from Consultant.

6. QUALITY CONTROL

 Review / approval of methodology.

 Monitor the on-going activities.
 Inspection and approval (RFIA) of completed works.
 Test will be carried out, witnessed and certified by third party.
