IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM

We choose global warming and climate change, because our generation are experiencing high
floods, stronger typhoons, major earthquakes and many more. We want to restore the beauty
of our nature and protect it for the next generations. This problem became our final decision
because we want to lessen the usage of natural resources and to preserved it. For the past few
years up until now , we are currently experiencing Super typhoons, landslides, strong and
continuous earthquake and intense heat. We are also experiencing wildfires and movements on
our plates that may cause other countries to submerged in water.

Notable examples for global warming, wildfire in Australia from september 2019 till march 2020
Deadly earthquake with magnitude 7.2 in haiti last august 14 2021 and super typhoon rai in
philippines last december 12 2021.

Solutions:

Waste Reduction:

 Stop wasting food (Because food waste emits methane, a greenhouse gas that is even more
potent than carbon dioxide. We can cut greenhouse gas emissions.)
 Apply the proper disposal of our waste in order to reduce the amount of methane emissions,
and we could even recycle our waste to make new material or harvest electricity.
 We should also start to reuse or lessen the purchase of too much clothing as it also contributes
to humanity’s carbon emissions and it is also the second-biggest consumer of water. (About 10%
of the world's carbon emission is caused by the fashion industry and about 70% of the fabric
produced by the fashion industry is wasted and thrown away by either lefting it to rot in a
landfill or through incineration.)

Switch to Renewable Energies:

 Switching from fossil fuels to renewable energies such as solar and wind. (Fossil fuels are widely
used for energy generation, but they emit large amounts of carbon dioxide when they are used.
By switching from fossil fuels to renewable energies such as solar and wind, it will help reduce
the amount of carbon dioxide emitted into the air as it offers clean energy. As renewable
energies start to gain more traction from the public it also starts producing more innovation and
starts to become relatively cheaper making it a more viable option.

Carbon Sequestration
  Maintaining existing forests and creating new forests from degraded lands. (It can significantly
aid in mitigating climate change by lowering the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by all human
activities. Trees operates as long-term carbon sinks by sequestering carbon dioxide from the
atmosphere.
 Instead of cutting trees to make new buildings and roads we should start incorporating trees
into it like what they do in Singapore.

 As one who is well informed and aware of how serious global warming today is, share your
knowledge to other people. Use social media platform or personally let others know and lead
them to what actions should be done or help they can give. Join groups, campaigns or
movements.

TAKE ACTION
Our objective in making a solution to global warming/climate change is to preserve natural resources by
using alternative methods. For example, instead of using cal oil and gas in making electricity, how about
using solar panels and windmills by using solar energy.

Our second objective is to minimize waste generation. for example, what we put on our strategy,
instead of buying plastic bottles, buy a reusable bottle, stainless bottles, paper bottles, etc.

So, let’s move forward on what's our strategy,

For example, conducting online webinars for the community or students in different schools or
universities. Share our knowledge or our plans on how to solve the global warming/climate change we
are experiencing right now.

We will create a fundraising donation drive for activities like tree planting, coastal cleaning, and an
education program about the value of our natural resources.

Evaluate the outcome

Outcomes of the plan
 Reduces the need to gather new raw materials, which helps to avoid
pollution (since when we are recycling materials, we will not going to need
to gather new materials because we can just use our recycled materials ,
which helps avoid the pollution.)

 saves energy. (since when we are extracting and processing new raw
resources to produce usable materials, it will requires a lot of energy but
when we are recycling, it wil lessen the energy consumption since the
recycled materials usually requires less process to produce usuable
materials which saves energy)

 Helps protect the environment for future generations.

(since by reducing our waste we can help our environment from being
destroyed for future generation)

 Improves the quality of the air and water while lowering greenhouse gas
emissions that contribute to climate change. ( since when we are recycling
materials, we are reducing the needs to extract raw materials, and it can
lessen the needs to cut trees and lessen the plastic that we are using,
because of that, it will improve the quality of the air and it will reduce the
water pollution that cause by plastics. Also Recycling can reduce energy
consumption which helps to lessen greenhouse gas emissions.)

 Lessens the amount of waste that will need to be recycled or sent to

landfills and incinerators. Since we are trying to reduce our consumption
and recycle product that we can still use there will be less waste that will
end up in landfills and incinerators
  Allows products to be used to their fullest extent. (By reusing the product
that we consume or use, we allow the product to be used multiple time
thus reducing our waste.)

 Saves money (By reusing and recycling product we can also save mone.
Because we use less product that we consume and buy thus saving us
money)

 saves animal (We all know that most of our plastic waste end up in the ocean
thus harming marine life. By performing this steps we can lower the chance of
marine life being disturbed.)
