NARRATIVE REPORT ON NATIONAL AND LOCAL ELECTIONS 2022

“By voting we add our voice to the chorus that forms opinions and the
basis for actions”-Jens Stoltenberg
I will never forget the 2022 election because it has become loud and gaining steam on
social media. On both sides, there seem to be various comments and beliefs. However, even
after the voting was completed, the people's pulse still trumped the person they had chosen to
lead the country. I am one of the witnesses of this historic election.
I am grateful to be among those who will serve in this election. It is a great honor to serve in
this election. I was assigned to be the Isolation Polling Place Support Staff; this was a significant
challenge for me because my role here was to deal with a voter who was suffering from covid-
19 symptoms. Frightening, but still manageable until after the election. I arrived at my polling
place in Sta. Isabel Elementary School at 5:29 a.m. I quickly gathered the necessary medical
supplies and forms. The voters started heading to school to vote. While waiting to possibly
become IPP voters, I assisted my fellow support staff in their work such as taking voters'
temperatures, enforcing safety protocols, and assisting certain voters. The polls closed at 9
p.m. and no high temperatures or symptoms of covid-19 voters were reported. The election in
my specific area went off without a hitch. This election has been exhausting but rewarding for
me. I've learned a lot of things, and it's been beneficial. Before I left, I thanked my colleague
and fellow teacher.
