1st and 2nd Quarter Hair Coloring and Bleaching
Unit of Competency The learner demonstrates common competencies in hair
coloring and hair bleaching activities.

Specific Instructions:

● Observe occupational health and safety standards

●Analyze the condition of the hair and scalp before coloring.
●Prepare tools and materials used in hair coloring
●Perform skin test and patch test
●Discuss hair coloring application
●Apply coloring products on hair
** Apply hair bleach
● Clean, sanitize and return all tools and equipment and prepare work station for the next
activity.

‣ Texture and volume of clients’ hair is checked through touch and visual analysis

patch test/ skin test.
‣ Consult and advised client on color options and checked for possible allergies.

from hair coloring and the scalp was not damaged

5. Ensure client’s safety and comfort during the entire duration of the process.
6. Performed post service activity by giving advise too client on hair care maintenance.
7. Return, clean and sanitize all supplies and materials, tools and equipment in their
proper places.
