1. Language-Based Approach used in the literature classroom through the use of literary texts
in classroom to be able to develop the knowledge of the students in language and enhance their
language skills. It is focused on the learner’s reading processes, wherein the students make meaningful
interpretations from the literary text they have been read.
2 Paraphrastic Approach used in the literature classroom through providing reading materials
to the learners wherein after they read it, they will be able to paraphrase and rewording the text based
on their understanding. It is a way for them to deepen their understanding of a literary piece they have
been read.
3. Information-Based Approach used in the literature classroom by giving knowledge and
new information to the learners. It ensures students to acquire new knowledge and information on the
literary text they have been read. Especially through this approach it examines the historical, political,
cultural, and social background which can help learners learn a lot.
4. Personal-Response Approach used in the literature classroom by analyzing, interpreting,
making connections to the literary text that have been used or read. It is one way for students to share
their opinion or feelings which they can make meanings about the literary text they have been read.
This approach can be a strategy for students used in interpreting the text. The students were asked to
respond to a question and support their answer with having evidence from the work they are studying.
5. Moral-Philosophical Approach used in the literature classroom by judging literary works
according to its moral-philosophical issues. Wherein, thanks to this approach, the learners can learn
about themselves and improve the way they think.

6. Stylistic Approach used in the literature classroom to teach students what makes the
language of literature has an impact in literary pieces. The students use the close reading strategies to
