I have decided what grade and what topic that I am going to use to teach elementary
school students. The grade is fourth grade and the topic is things in the classroom. The reason
why I choose grade four because students in grade four have been learning english so they
can pronounce, write and remember the words easily. About the topic, I have researched in
some books such as Erlangga and BSE (Buku Sekolah Elektronik) that in grade four the
compentence have to be reached is the ability of the students to recognize the things in the
classroom.
For teaching students in grade four I will use a song and a game to make them learn
easily and have fun. The title of the song is school song and the game is collect the pictures.
To provide my teaching learning process I will focus on one skill and one component of
english language. The skill is writing skill and the component is vocabulary. The activity that
I am going to use is crossword, I expect that through crossword the students can improve
their skill in writing and spelling the word correctly also improve their vocabularies.

SONG
The song that I am going to use is school song, the lyrics of this song are not
difficult and the rhythm not too fast. So I expect that the students can sing the song easily
and their pronunciation in correct way. In this song also there are many vocabularies that
new for some students. This is the song:

GAME
The title of the game is collect the pictures. This game will attract the attention of the
students because I will use the pictures to playing this game. This game included cooperative
games, because I will divide the students into some groups and each group consist of four
students. The pictures that I am going to use are random pictures, so each group will have
the same pictures and their job is to classify wheter the pictures belong to things or the others
like fruits, animals etc. I will enclose those pictures in the enclosure in order to make clearly.
Prepare the pictures about things in the classroom, fruits and things in the kitchen.
Divide the students in several groups, supposed the number of the students is 20 students
and then divide them into 5 groups.
Ask them to sit and make circle for each group.
Distribute the pictures.
Ask them to classify the pictures what the things in the classroom and collect those
pictures.
The group that can collect right pictures is the winner.
