On : 11.12.1.0.0 version, Manage Collections-Process Collections Disputes

Why Collection dispute is not including service charges when settled?

Steps to reproduce

1. Created a dispute for a transaction which has Service charges and taxes associated to the baseline.
2. Dispute submitted from collector dashboard for 2nd invoice line with dispute section as specific invoice lines.
3. Dispute was approved
4.Credit memo got created and applied against disputed transaction.
5. But created credit memo has line amount and tax included
6. Associated service charges is not considered.

SOLUTION

Charging a customer for freight is more-or-less a business policy or based on the sale agreement. A consolidated amount
could be charged against all invoice items or the user can optinally tag specific freight amounts with individual invoice lines.
Also, there is no universal approach towards refunding the freight amount if there is any dispute on the invoice line. It may
vary across businesses and even within an Org there may be different freight refund policies for different category of
customers and/or transactions. That's the reason why the freight amount is not automatically reversed along with the disputed
line amount. If it has to be refunded, then a separate dispute should be initiated using the dispute section reference
'Shipping'.
