(ASSIGNMENT#5: Writing Activity)

What characteristics do you think should you possess in the overall process of writing
a report? Explain your answer.

 The report provides factual information depending on which decisions are made. So
everyone should be taken to ensure that a report has all the essential qualities which turn
it into a good report. Before we begin to write a report, note that when writing an
academic report, we must always follow the guidelines for formal academic writing,
including citing trustworthy sources and using correct grammar, spelling, and
punctuation. Also, we need to be clear about who we are writing the report for and why
the report has been commissioned. Keep the audience in mind as we write our report,
think about what they need to know. Reports are usually assessed on content, structure,
layout, language, and references. We should consider the focus of our report. Writing
concisely and clearly takes time. We have to work out exactly what our audience wants to
know in order to make sure that we are writing relevant information. The inclusion of
these factors features or characteristics makes a good report to be effective and fruitful.
It also helps us to achieve our report goal. A reporter who is making the report should
always be careful about these factors to make his report a good one.
