Some people think that it is important to use leisure time for activities

that improve the mind, such as reading and doing word puzzles.
Other people feel that it is important to rest the mind during leisure time.

Opinions diverge on the importance of ways to utilise leisure time effectively.

While many people hold the belief that there should be mind-twisting activities
to develop mind such as reading and playing scrabble, others think that it is
essential to ease tension by relaxing after a busy schedule. From my
perspective, I am partial accord with the former opinion.
On the one hand, there are good grounds for arguing that refreshing mind by
rest is particularly important for human living since it helps people to relax and
unwind after a long working time and avoid feeling exhausted and irritable.
Therefore, many individuals choose to take a nap, sit on a rocking chair or
watch the birds as a silent observer, which energise their brain and keep them
healthy.
On the other hand, the benefit of spending spare time for doing some creational
activities is undeniable because it enables people to become more brilliant. The
key explanation to this could be that evidence in favour of playing puzzles and
answering IQ quizzes is found in much research which reveals that these
activities will boost human mindset effectively and logically. Another
noticeable justification is that leisure pursuits such as reading books and writing
diary or novel will drive people further toward enriching their horizon and
knowledge as well as cultivating their critical thinking. For example, in some
developed countries, the governments have encouraged their citizens in creating
the reading habit by establishing public libraries and e-libraries with a mixed
variety of books.
In conclusion, I belive the advantages of using leisure time for several
constructive activities outweight the merits of spending such time just relaxing
because by doing these, one can gain plenty of knowledge which would
definitely help them in their coming life.
1. Do you have a pet?
- I have a small and lovely dog which is a gift given by my father when I
passed an exam with flying colors. He is not only my pet but also my best
friend so I usually take him to the park and share with him all the stories.
2. What types of animals do you think make the best pets?
- Well, I believe they are dogs as they are loyal companions to humans.
They can’t speak but I think they can understand our emotions. I believe a
dog is always a good listener when we need a shoulder to cry on.
3. Why do people have pets?
- I think we would all agree that pets are loyal companions to human.
Especially for those who adopt pets when they were just newborns, these
animals are like the precious children to many families.
4. Are there any types of animals that you think should not be kept as a pet?
- Attempting to keep wild animals as pets such as crocodile, snake or tiger is
never a good idea. Some of these animals can endanger human lives while
others simply fail to thrive when removed from their natural habitats. Even
when raised in a home from a young age, these animals tend to maintain
their wild instincts, making them unpredictable and difficult to manage.
