Job Shadow Interview 2 WBL Semester2
Instructions: For this assignment, you will complete a brief interview with an employer in the career
area of interest for you. You will need to conduct this brief interview over the phone or via Skype or
email. Please use the questions on the following page to conduct the interview.
Before contacting the employer, make sure that you have the person’s full name. In addition, make
sure that you contact them at a convenient time. For example, do not call a restaurant during meal
hours.
I am a student at Hillgrove High School and would be interested in conducting a brief interview with you
in order to gain knowledge about your career field.
This interview should not take more than 20-30 minutes and consists of questions about this occupation.
This will help me make informed decisions for my future.
If not, do you know of someone in your field that may be willing to assist me with this project?

Following directions: To keep balance and to keep the structure of the company
Being accurate: Making sure the sales and all the numbers are correct
Participating as a team member: Teams are put together to accomplish goals
Working independently: You must be able to be independent because sometimes you won’t be
able to get help
5. How has technology affected this job? I use technology to keep track of my meetings and keep in
touch with co-workers
6. How do you think this job will change in the next five years? The next ten years? It depends on the
market and our competitors
7. What skills and training do you need for this job? College degree and experience
8. What advice would you give to a high school student interested in this profession? Do good in school,
go to a good college and start gaining experience.
9. What recommendations do you have for me if I want to go into this career? Make sure you have
connections and gain experience so you can climb up in the ranks.

if you want to be successful.
