ACTIVITY 1

I. -nature. Shell
When the organism grows, the shell size increases by addition of new material at
the margin. The incorporation of pigments during this growth process results in patterns.
Since the shell grows in several rounds around the axis, the progressing shell comes in
direct contact with the shell material from the previous round.

1. The importance of numbers is equal to the alphabet. Even if we aren't aware of it,
almost everything we do involves numbers and mathematics. People couldn't read clocks,
read dates, count money, measure anything, call anyone, or do much else without
numbers.
2. I believe it has simply made me more patient and systematic in my thoughts about I
didn't fully comprehend. Math has taught me that problems that appear to be incredibly
difficult and forbidding at first may often be solved very well. Lastly, it helped me in
learning by trial and error.
III. --B. Medicine
How doctors and nurses do rounds of observations determines the role of
mathematics in medicine. The oxygen saturation levels, blood pressure, respiration rate,
temperature, and heart rate were all measured. Medical experts also employ math when
creating statistical graphs or therapy success rates. Furthermore, math is essential while
prescribing medications because it is critical for doctors to prescribe only the number of
tablets needed to complete the planned time. This will determine how frequently the
patient must take their prescription in order to maintain an adequate level of the
medication in the body. In medicine, mathematics plays a critical part, and because
people's lives are on the line, it's critical for nurses and doctors to be exact in their
calculations.

IV.
The short clip we viewed displayed some number patterns, which subsequently
transformed into various types of boxes until spiraling due to the patterns. It eventually
resulted in lovely flowers and other natural-related things. Nature's numbering system is
based on Fibonacci numbers. They can be found in all kinds of places in nature, from
plant leaf arrangements to flower patterns to pineapple scales. As a result, the Fibonacci
numbers apply to the growth of all living things. There is a connection between the
Fibonacci sequence and the Golden Ratio as well. As a result, the picture helps to remind
us of the deep connection that exists between nature and mathematics. If you look around
you, you will notice that everything in our world is connected to mathematics.

-The part of my body that is nearest to the golden ratio is the ratio between width of nose
and nose tip to lips.
- The part of my body part that is farthest to the golden ratio is the ratio between the length
of lips and width of nose.
