A/G 22 / 4 = 5.5

B/D 9 / 7 = 1.29

I/J 9 / 3.5 = 2.57

I/C 9 / 5 = 1.8

E/L 5.5 / 3.5 = 1.57

F/H 4 /8 = 0.5

Average 2.205 or 2.21

Is your average close to the Golden ratio? No, the Golden Ratio is (1.618...), however my face ratio
is 2.205 or (2.21). It has a difference of 0.587, which may sound greater than the golden ratio
value, but math has a long way to go before recognizing my face as divinely.

Journal Question:
Based on the activities, what can you say about the function of mathematics in keeping regularities,
structure and beauty in the world?

Explain in not less than 5 sentences.

As I finished the task, I realized how important mathematics is in our daily life.
Mathematics is not only a cohesive system of knowledge and activities, but it is also a unique way
of comprehending the world's beauty. In terms of these observations, mathematics, as prescribed
by the golden ratio, appears to be the best explanation for nature's orderliness. We can't explain
beauty since everyone has their own idea of it; some may argue that they discovered beauty in
basic things like forms or the color combinations of the objects around them, and because to the
Golden ratio, we now have a "standard" of what beauty is. We may not realize it, yet we appreciate
things like buildings, people, and even flowers because of their physical look and symmetry in
comparison to others. We believe that the closer an object's proportions are to the golden ratio, the
more beautiful it is, a symmetrical face is a fit/healthy person, and the golden ratio is used in
creating structures not only because it is appealing, but also because we believe it is a good
proportion for a structure to be reliable. Beauty is intangible, but math has its own method of
describing it, and that is what makes math beautiful. However, the function of mathematics can be
seen everywhere, even in our analyzing. It offers us ideas to be sharper and resolve those notions
that may be doubtful. It also aids in the formation and refining of personality via precision and
accuracy.
