You are on page 1of 22

To be honest I didn’t know how things could ended up this way.

By the time I realized it, I found

myself standing in the middle of nowhere. I even couldn’t determine where is north or the time as I
couldn’t see anything beyond 2 meters distance from where I was standing.

The only clue that I had was the floating blue panel that I used to see in novels and manga. I looked
to my surroundings. Beside the floating panel, all I can see is complete white fog that surrounded
me. I tried to search for my phone or anything but I didn’t possess anything but the clothes I was
wearing right now.

Well then, let’s do what we can. I looked at the panel and began reading the displayed text.

‘Welcome to my world, Challenger.’

‘Stage One’

‘Victory Condition’

‘Built a Party of Six’

‘Losing Condition’

‘Losing all Torch Point’

‘Direction’

‘Move around the mist to find team members. Member recruitment will be done through janken
and dice game.’

‘Current Torch Point: 95’

After reading the direction, I could definitely conclude that I was caught in a nasty death game made
by a crazy god. There was no penalty mentioned for loser but if this game was hosted by outer god, I
was sure there would have a happy ending when they got a game over mark.

“Ah, I need to get going. I don’t know where I should move but, for now let’s try moving around.”

I muttered. I took a step after another leisurely. Although I hadn’t met anyone, my Torch point was
gradually decreasing. Although there was still plenty of time, I didn’t want to waste my stamina or
my time looking for something that almost impossible to find.

After walking aimlessly for 15 minutes, I finally able to find a silhouette of a person passing by. I took
a step forward before heading to the direction where the silhouette disappears to in hurry. I
managed to find the owner of the silhouette but since I was running, we ended up crashing into each
other.

“Ouch!!”

A feminine voice came from the silhouette’s owner as she fell.

“Ah, sorry. I was in panic just now.”

I said while stretching my had to her.

“Ah, it’s alright. But, you should be careful next time. It’s dangerous to run around in this situation.”

The girl kindly warned me.

“Ah, I’ll do so from now on. Thank you, Eh? Sakuya-senpai?”

I was dumbfounded when I saw who the girl was. She was a senior at my school, Sakurano Sakuya.
Everyone called her Sakuya because she didn’t like to be called by her surname for some reason. She
was well known as one of our school’s princesses as well as the ace of the karate club.

“Ah, from that uniform I can guess you’re also attending our school too, right?”

She said.

“Yes. I’m Azai Makoto from Class 2-2.”

I introduced myself.

Ding!!

‘A party member candidate detected!!’

‘Please do a janken within 30 seconds or both players would be eliminated.’

Suddenly, a system announcement appeared. We looked at the blue panel that appeared on our
sight before looking at each other.

“Should we do this? I’m afraid the word elimination isn’t something that can be joked around after
all.”

I suggested.

“Well then, let’s get this done already so we can get out of this place as soon as possible.”

Sakuya-senpai said.

“Then, jan~ken~hoi!”

We both said as we showed our hand. The result of our game was senpai’s paper lose to my scissor.

Ding!!

‘Victory, Azai Makoto!!’

‘Sakurano Sakuya joined your party.’

‘Remaining Torch Point: 158’

“it seems like it’s my win, Senpai.”

I said.

“Then, I’ll be in your care, Azai-kun.”

She said kindly.

“Me too, I’ll be in your care too.”

I replied.

“It seems like by adding a new party member we could gain more time. Also, our sight also became
doubled compared to before. Maybe we will get a better sight on our surroundings if we look around
more member to join us.”

I said.
“Yes. Let’s do our best.”

She replied.

“Please tell me if you’re tired. We might still have some time but we might have to do more tasks
after this so let’s preserve our stamina.”

I suggested.

“Alright, I’ll tell you when I’m tired.”

She replied. We began walking aimlessly for another 30 minutes but no result. It seems like finding
people in this fog is like finding a needle in haystack. My meeting with senpai was probably had
exhausted my luck reserve for today.

“Should we have some rest?”

I offered.

“Hmm… I guess its not too bad to have some rest now. We have walked for a while after all.”

Sakuya added.

Just a moment I was about to sit on the ground, A group of people came out of the fog. A group
consisting of 1 man and 4 girls approached us. From their expression it was clear that this man had
forced the girls to walk for hours without rest.

“Oya? How lucky I am to find my last member here.”

The man said.

“Hello beauty, do you want to join us? As you can see, we are already 5 people so if you join us, we’ll
clear the game right away.”

The man asked. I looked at the girls. Out of the four, two of them had fallen to the ground from
exhaustion.

“You can’t do that, man. She is already a member of my party. You can’t do it that way.”

I told him.

“Huh? Why are you yapping like that you brat? I’ll fucking kill you.”

He threatened.

“Didn’t you read the rule? All recruitment must be decided using dice and janken.”

I explained.

“Then, let’s do it. I’ll use rock. If you use anything other than scissor, I’ll beat you up.”

He said threateningly. He was taller than me and had a threatening vibe.

Ding!!

‘Two parties desire for raid detected. Beginning preparation’

Two set of small tables with six white dices, a golden dice and a cup appeared. I looked at the man.
He also walked to his table confidently.
‘Please determine which number would you designate on your partner.’

The blue panel informed. I looked at the numbers displayed. I glanced at Sakuya once and tapped
number 6 which rarely came out.

‘Please roll the golden dice and cover it with the cup without looking the result.’

“What the… is this a dice guessing game?”

I said to myself. When I look at my opponent, he was already observing his golden dice. I wasn’t a
master in this so I decided to leave everything into my luck. I randomly throw my dice into the cup
and slammed it into the table.

“Well, let’s start our game, shall we?”

The man said after covering his dice. We both took our stance. At the same time, we showed our
hand, he was shocked. I didn’t know why but this man had decided to use paper when he told me to
use scissor which made me dumbfounded.

“Wha-!!”

“What? You told me to use it right?”

I said innocently.

“You bastard!! You fooled me!!”

“E~h, how irrational. I’m just doing what you told me to do you know. I don’t want to get hit you
know.”

I said.

“Bastard, I’ll kill you!!!”

He rushed toward be but was stopped by an invisible world.

Ding!!

‘Violence is prohibited during the game.’

A warning came out. The man gritted his teeth and glared at me.

Ding!!

‘Please open your cup and show your number.’

I pulled out the cup covering my dice. I was a bit surprised when it shown 5 dots at my random
throw.

Ding!

‘Please roll 5 dice to recruit opponent’s members.’

I looked at the girls. They were praying so hard for some reason. Well, let’s make it fast, shall we?

I threw five dice into the dice cup without care and shook it several times amateurishly before
slamming it to the table. When I opened it, from five dice I got four numbers with two number one
and number three five and six respectively.
“Well, how is the result?”

I asked. The man looked at the dice in disbelieve. He glared at me sharply.

“What?”

I asked in confusion.

‘Congratulation!!’

‘Player Kiriha Akina, Shinohara Chinatsu, Akatsubo Tsubaki, and Shinomiya Iroha had joined your
party.’

“Eh? All hit?”

I was surprised by my luck.

“YOU!! I’LL KILL YOU!!”

He quickly ran toward me as soon as the game ended. I closed my eyes in fear but the impact never
came.

Ding!!

‘Congraturation on moving to stage II’

It seems like we have been teleported to the zone for stage 2. The previous fog filled world had long
gone and I found myself standing at some place that looked like a temple. I looked around and saw
the girls who had joined my party were crying in relieve and Sakuya was in the middle of calming
them down. It seems like they were all constantly under his threat.

“Player Azai Makoto, please head to this counter right away.”

From a long table at some distance away, a person with white wings called me. He had blonde hair
and a halo on his head. He looked very kind person but his three meters tall figure and muscular
body was very intimidating for a receptionist.

“Can I wait for my party member to calm down for a bit?”

I asked for a delay.

“We’re already alright, leader. Let’s move on to the counter so we can get out from this place as
soon as possible.”

One of the girls said. She looked like a cute and cheerful type if only it wasn’t ruined by her tears and
snot. I led my group to the angel that called me earlier. In front of him there were lineups of large
ball lottery machine. There were numbers on each purple ball so it seems like we’re getting
something using it.

“Please roll this device.”

The angel said.

“Umm… May I know what kind of lottery this device will give me?”

I asked.

“These lottery machines will be determining the difficulty of the second stage.”
The angel said.

“Can you please give us a detailed information about it?”

Sakuya asked.

“Starting from the left, you will draw a lottery for your party trait, and each members’ class, social
status, personal advantage, weakness, race and starter item. The furthermost device would
determine your starting point of the second stage.”

The angel said.

“The creator of this game must be an avid TRPG player. Moreover, he’s without a doubt a sadistic
game master.”

The girl in the ponytail said.

“By the way, can I see the possible reward for each lottery?”

I asked.

“You may see the possible result but you may only choose one.”

He said.

“Then can I see the first device’s draw pool please?”

I asked.

Ding!!

Absolute Monarch
Devout Believer
Harem Master
Charismatic Leader
Hero's Party
Protagonist' Party
Avenger
Adventurer
Democracy
All for One
One for All
United We Stand
Glass Princess
Share the Pain
We Are One
Scramble
Family
Gambler
A blue panel consisting of 18 items appeared. I was speechless. I looked at the girls who also could
see the drawing pool also became pale. Out of 18 possible result, the good sounding result were just
Charismatic Leader, Hero’s Party, Protagonist’s Party, Adventurer, Democracy, and Family. As for the
others, it sounded quite dangerous or suspicious.
“But, why harem master was included in the mix? What would happen if the party is consisted of
people with the same danger?”

A girl with ponytail muttered.

“In case there’s a contradiction with the leader’s sexual preference, the system would adjust it until
it does.”

The angel said.

“You mean his or her gender will be swapped?”

Sakuya asked.

“Yes, that is correct.”

He answered.

“This one sound dangerous too, so ths is out of question too.”

Sakuya commented.

“But, this is lottery. We can’t really choose what we will get.”

I said. The girls flinched.

“Please use your luck to get us a decent one, Azai-kun.”

Sakuya begged.

“I-I’ll do my best.”

I said stuttered. Man, their expectation is heavy. I turned the lottery lever and a ball came out. The
angel picked the ball and read the number. He then took a purple envelope from the rack behind
him before directing us to the next machine.

“Please roll the next 5 machines 6 times each.”

The angel said.

“Eh? I’m doing all of them?”

I asked.

“Yes, the fate of your members will be fully decided by your luck.”

The angel said.

“Ugh, the expectation kind of heavy. I wanna throw up.”

I muttered.

“Please do your best, leader.”

One of the girls cheered me up. I slapped both my cheek and rotated the lever fast till six balls came
out before moving to the next one. I did a wild swing until the last one as I rested everything into my
luck.
The Angel looked flustered for a moment but he could adapt to the situation fast and professionally
and picked the envelopes corresponding to the lottery result.

“Please draw once for the last lottery.”

The angel said. I nodded and rotated the lever. A black ball rolled out. The angel took the envelope
with the same number painted on the ball. He then walked to an empty desk and put six 30-sided
dice on a tray.

“Etto, Angel-san, what does this dice mean?”

Sakuya asked.

“Please roll this die. The sum of your roll will determine your total age that will be distributed later
by the party leader.”

The angel explained. Each of us picked one dice. I rolled the dice and the result gave me a pathetic
number of 2. Luckily, the girls weren’t so unlucky that they managed to raise the number till 108.
With this we could have each member to have at least 18 years old which was more or less equal to
our current age.

“Here’s your drawing results. Please open them in the next room.”

The angel said showing the doorway. I received the stack of colorful envelopes and walked to the
room as the angel had said. The girls followed me in silence. Worried about what would happen to
them.

“Before we start opening the result, maybe we can introduce ourselves. I’m Sakurano Sakuya, 3 rd
year of Aokigahara High.”

Sakuya said to clear the heavy atmosphere.

“Ah, I’m the party leader, Azai Makoto, second year of the same school.”

I said bowing politely.

“Ah, then we’re around the same age. I’m Kiriha Akina, A second year of Minamigaoka Girl School.”

The cheerful short-haired girl said.

“I’m Shinohara Chinatsu. First year at Minamigaoka Girl School.”

The ponytail girl said.

“My name is Akatsubo Tsubaki. I used to be a student at Minamigaoka.”

The long-haried girl introduced herself. She sounded timid and looked scared of something.

“I’m first year at North High. Shinomiya Iroha. I know that you have saved us from that scum earlier
but I still didn’t believe that you’re not one either.”

The last girl with long hair and thick glasses said while glaring at me. It gave me a chill how she had
seen me as if I were her nemesis.

“We-Well, let’s start opening our envelopes. Which one should we open up first?”

I asked to change the topic.

“Let’s begin with the race first. I want to know what would happen after we got this.”

Sakuya said.

“Alright. Please take one everyone. I’ll have whatever left.”

I said. The girls took one green envelope from my hand. They looked at each other before carefully
opened their envelope. I opened mine and look at the content.

‘High Human’

‘Superior kind of human with stronger vitality and lifespan than normal human. Immune to disease
and curses but due to their closeness to the divine race, they were mostly almost expressionless.’

I felt that my face became rather stiff. I tried to my lips to make a smiling face but for some reason it
was difficult to do so. I looked at the other girls. Sakuya-san transformed into a cool beauty with cold
expression. She looked taller than before.

The major changes occurred on the rest of the girls. Tsubaki, Chinatsu and Iroha changed into three
kinds of elves. I don’t know the exact race but their long and pointy ears was distinct enough to
show that they were elves.

The thing that made them different was the color of their hair and the size of their bosom. Tsubaki
and Iroha had slender figure as for Chinatsu had massive pack on that was kind of getting crushed by
her outfit. Tsubaki and Chinatsu had blonde hair meanwhile Iroha had silver hair.

As for the cheerful Akina, her human ears was still there but a pair of rabbit ear appeared on her
head and her hair changed from dark brown color to silver one. She was without a doubt a beastkin.

“Ah, Sakuya-san and Azai-kun didn’t change much. I bet they are human.”

Akina pointed out.

“I don’t know the detail but I am now a high human. Sorry if I became a bit scary but high human
can’t really make a clear expression.”

I said.

“I’m also high human.”

Sakuya affirmed.

“I’m called Rabbit-kin now. Ah, please take care of me from now on, pyon.”

Akina said cutely as she put her hands beside her rabbit ears. Her body kind of petite and cute that I
had an urge to hug her that I tried so hard to hold back.

“The three of us have become elves but I think we got different kind of elves. By the way, I’m a High
Elf.”

Tsubaki said as she gracefully bowed.

“High Elf is to be said as a race that was born with graceful trait so we couldn’t shout or speak fast.”

Tsubaki explained with polite tone.

“Hee… That’s interesting. Ah, I’m a Moon Elf. From the detail written on the card, I am a violent kind
of elf that is close to dark elf. The difference is that we Moon elf has fair and sensitive skin. Ah, we
Moon Elves are sensitive to the sun. Although the effect of the sunburn differs from person to
person, I don’t know yet what will the sun do to me.”

Iroha said.

“Ah, as for me, I’m a Half-Elf. I’ve read in stories that we halves are resented by the other elves
somehow but if possible please don’t hate me.”

Chinatsu said.

“Not hating completely might not possible in my opinion.”

Iroha said.

“Eh?”

“Unfortunately Iroha-san. Even for me, it was quite difficult to maintain neutrality.”

Tsubaki added.

“Eeeeeeeeeeeeh!!!!!”

Chinatsu was at lost at her comrade’ s remark. Iroha and Tsubaki’s eyes however weren’t directed
toward her face but toward her ample mounds on her chest. Well, compared to theirs it was indeed
too different like a flat plain and mount Everest.

“Where are you looking at, Azai-kun?”

Sakuya asked.

“Nowhere. I’m just curious about the other envelopes.”

I said.

“Mumumu, it’s kind of annoying that Azai-kun become difficult to read now.”

Akina said.

“Let’s pick up the next one. How about if we pick the social status now?”

I asked. The girls silently pulled one envelope. They sounded indifferent as they opened theirs. Only
Tsubaki who opened her envelope carefully.

“I’m an Earl Daughter. On the envelope it was said that the one with highest status can change the
party leader.”

Akina said cheerfully.

“I’m an Earl.”

Iroha said.

“Fue?”

Iroha’s card was overturned in instant.

“I’m also an Earl.”

Tsubaki said.
“Fue?”

Akina became more dejected. She looked at Chinatsu.

“Sorry, Akina-chan. I’m a Duke’s Daughter.”

Chinatsu said.

“Gah!!”

Akina looked at Sakuya.

“I’m a Duke.”

Sakuya said showing her card.

“Mumumu!”

Akina became frustrated. She then turned toward me who hasn’t opened mine. I took the paper out
and read the content. I rubbed my eyes few times and sighed when I imagined the upcoming trouble
from this card.

“What’s wrong? Don’t tell me Sakuya-san overthrow you.”

Iroha asked.

“I became a Royalty. Just thinking about the possibility became a center of political turmoil made my
stomach hurt.”

I said holding my stomach.

“That is… my condolence.”

Akina said.

“But, in that case, wouldn’t Azai-kun and Sakuya-san might end in an engagement?”

Chinatsu asked.

“Ha?”

Sakuya and I were flabbergasted by Chinatsu’s remark.

“I mean they are both high humans, and from their rank there’s also no problem.”

Chinatsu pointed. I looked at Sakuya, we both flinched when our eyes met and I ended averting our
gaze.

“What is it? Did the flag just triggered?”

Chinatsu asked.

“Ara, it’s a happy occasion, isn’t it?”

Tsubaki said.

“Please don’t decide things by yourself. Azai-kun might be already engaged with other nobles.”

Sakuya said.
“But speaking of high ranking, aren’t you also within the strike zone, Chinatsu-san?”

Akina pointed out.

“Eh? Is that so?”

Chinatsu was surprised.

“Please be aware of your status, Duke’s Daughter.”

Iroha pointed out.

“Eh? Ahahaha…”

Chinatsu awkwardly scratched her head.

“Now, what? Opening the Job Class?”

I asked.

“Sure thing.”

Sakuya said. She was offering the envelopes this time. I picked an envelope as Sakuya kept the last
one. I glanced at the girls who were curiously opened their envelopes.

“Ooh…”

Akina’s wrapped in golden light. The other girls about to read their card their hands stopped to look
at Akina. Light began dissipating from Akina’s body. When the light disappeared, Akina’s uniform
had transformed into light blue sleeveless clothes with black belt and her hands were wrapped in
bandages.

“You become a Monk huh? It kind of suits you, Akina-san.”

I complimented.

“You think so?”

Akina said. The other four girls were wrapped in lights almost at the same time. Tsubaki’s outfit
changed into simple elegant robe while Chinatsu’s became an elven warrior outfit. As for Iroha, she
was wearing a black ninja tabi and her lower half of her face was covered by some cloth mask.

“Iroha-chan, by the chance are you a ninja?”

Akina asked innocently.

“No, I’m an Assassin.”

She said confidently. I looked at Sakuya. She had a chainmail covered her casual clothes. She looked
a princess knight who was on her way to wear her armor.

“By chance, is that a paladin?”

I asked.

“The class is called Throne Guardian. But the specification is close to one I think.”

Sakuya said.
“Then, I guess it’s my turn.”

I said pulling the paper from the envelope.

‘Sentinel’

‘A Class that specialized in protection, Defense, and Long-Range Support. It was a Rare Class that was
hard to obtain or learn. It was said that a Sentinel could stay unscathed after baptized by a dragon
breath.’

I was at lost when I read the detail. I was wrapped in light and when the light disappeared, I was
wearing same chainmail as Sakuya.

“I don’t know if it was coincidence or a fate but both of you have a lot similarities you know.”

Akina pointed out.

“Well, not exactly right though. My class is actually more specialized in long range than close
combat.”

I said.

“Long Range? In heavy armor?”

Chinatsu was surprised.

“Yeah, it was called Sentinel which was also known as Mobile Fortress.”

I said.

“Uwaa… So cool!!”

Akina was excited.

“I wonder if my blade still can bypass your damage. Let’s try it out later.”

Iroha said something dangerous there.

“Now let’s try the equipment.”

I suggested.

The girls picked one each. We opened the envelopes at once. The trio elves received 3 bags of
complete set of potions. Akina received Adventurer basic camping set. Sakuya received a high-grade
Magic Rifle. As for me, I got a brand-new Sword. Well, it was obvious that we exchanged our
belonging at once.

Finally, we had four last bosses to be opened. The player traits, party trait, and the starting point. By
the vote, player traits became our first priority. We picked our positive and negative trait each. We
were hesitant but we got no choice but to open them.

‘Natural Charmer’

‘Capable of attracting anyone regardless the gender, age, and race. A sinful trait that existed to make
women intoxicated by his presence. It was said that the owner of this trait had historically almost
cause a world war.’

What a dangerous trait!! What about the negative one?

‘Possessive’

‘Deemed what is close to this trait’s owner as his own. The owner of this trait was easy to get jealous
whenever someone was trying to get close to the individuals he deemed as precious.’

I couldn’t laugh anymore. A Possessive Charmer? Isn’t that just a greedy philanderer? Can I get a
change?

I looked up at the girls. Iroha and Sakuya for some reason turned red. Akina became smug as for the
result of her trait. Tsubaki looked a bit gloomy, and Chinatsu looked confused about her result. I
cleared my throat to get their attention.

“So, what kind of trait did you get?”

I asked them. The girls looked at me but a second later they averted their eyes.

“What’s wrong?”

I asked worriedly.

“A-Ah, no. It’s just somehow, I’m not feeling well. I wonder if it’s because of my body wasn’t used to
my trait.”

Akina said.

“What kind of trait do you get? If it’s dangerous, I’ll try my best helping you out taking care of it.”

I said.

“Ah, it’s nothing at all. I’m just easy to get hungry in exchange of my strength.”

AKina said despereately.

“Is that so? I guess we got a little glutton here.”

I spoke. I don’t know if my trait had helped me but somehow my stiff facial muscle became easier to
move.

“Idiot.”

Akina looked away pouting.

“Well, if everyone doesn’t have anything to ask and satisfied with their traits, let’s open the last
two.”

I said. I picked the last two and opened the envelope. I pulled the cards inside and read the content
to become awkward. The girls looked at the content and looked at me.

‘Harem Master’

‘Bending the Party Member’s situation into the favorable situation for the leader’s romantic tastes.
The opposite gender within the party would grow a deep affection toward the leader. The process
would flow naturally but fast paced. The party members would not be easily get jealous toward the
each other.’

Now I’ve done it. The three traits would turn these girls into the women who will after me for sure.
But this is between lucky and unlucky. I hope none had a possessive trait too. As for the starting
point, I was very grateful with the result.
‘Royal Capital’

‘Center of Government, the homes of the high-ranking nobles and royalties. It had the strongest
security and lowest crime rate. It also could be said to be the safest place to start an adventure.’

The starting point was a hit. Furthermore, as a royalty staying in royal capital means that I am going
to be staying in the castle. The only worry I have right now is the future problem of succession and
possibility of civil war.

“This is the worst. To think you would get that card.”

Iroha complained.

“Well, it’s better than monarch though. That card forces you to do things like slaves.”

I rebuked.

“That is true but… “

Iroha couldn’t refute back.

“Well then, I’ll distribute our age. At what age the elves’ adulthood again?”

I asked.

“That would be 25. For halves it would be 15 just like humans.”

Chinatsu said.

“Rabbit-kin is also the same. 15 years old for us.”

Akina said.

“It seems like we need two people to become underaged by one year.”

I said.

“Well, judging from our current age, the underage would be Chinatsu and Iroha.”

I declared.

“Well, it’s a fact that we’re really younger than you after all. I can’t help it.”

Iroha admitted. I nodded and began distributing the age. Tsubaki would be the oldest with 25 years
old followed by Iroha 24 years old. Sakuya, Akina and I were 15 years old as for Chinatsu was the
youngest being the sole 14 years old girl.

As soon I confirmed the setting, I felt my body was undergoing some change. It was the same with
the girls. It felt uncomfortable as if dozen of people was groping my body to change its body shape.

Ding!!

‘Stage 2 Preparation had been confirmed’

‘Begin Backstory Calculation’

A notification appeared. Seriously? Backstory? The game creator was really an avid fan of a TRPG.
‘Prince Mark Otto Azai Edelfelt was the eldest son of the King of Edelfelt kingdom. He was going to
be announced as the crown prince on his 16 th birthday. Being born from two good looking individual
from two continents, the young prince had a mysterious attractive vibe that could charm any
individual.

The young prince was an adept in the art of marksmanship. It was said that he was one of the
geniuses in the western continent. The prince however had a mediocre aptitude in sword and magic.
In order to counterbalance his weakness, he had developed the guardian sniper arts and become the
founder of the Sentinel Class.

Prince Mark had 5 best friends. They were members of nobility and possessed an unequaled talent
just like the prince. Their first meeting was during the prince birthday but they became friends after
knowing that they were also an oddball like him with superior skills.

Duke Sakurano Sakuya was a young Duchess within Edelfelt. She was the last member of the prince’s
maternal family coming from the eastern continent after her family was brutally murdered by a
notorious bandit. As a 15 years old girl, she was still immature in politic. Due to this, her territory
management was temporarily returned to the royal family until she could fully manage it herself.

Currently she was acting around the prince as his closest aide, cousin, and childhood friend. This
young lady was aspiring to be a knight who despised crime the most. There was time where she
almost lost herself in hatred for the bandits who killed her family and went straight to the bandit’s
stronghold alone. She was almost got caught by her nemesis before the young prince annihilated
them using his sentinel skills. Ever since, she swore herself to repay his deed by protecting him as his
knight. Unknowingly, little buds of romance was slowly growing within the expressionless girls’
heart.

One of the prince’s playmates was a half elf named Chi Nast Shion. She was Duke Shion’s daughter
born from his lover who was a Wood Elf. As the sole child of Duke Shion, although born from a lover,
she was raised as the blood related wife after the legal wife was declared unable to give birth
anymore and was declared as the next successor of Shion Duchy.

She met the prince when she was bullied by several noble’ children of the Noble Faction. Prince
Mark warned the brats who only could boast about their father’ deed couldn’t hold a candle against
the future Crown Prince. The prince and Chi Nast gotten closer as a playmate as Duke Shion often to
bring her to the castle Ever since Duchess Shion passed away five years ago.

The two Earls Iraoha Sinhara and Earl Akitsu Asubo were young geniuses of the Felsara Forest in
Edelfelt. They were gifted in two different fields since they were young. Iraoha grew as an assassin
thanks to her relationship with a dark elf warrior who lives nearby. As for Akitsu was a scholar who
had the herbal medicine and spirit language. She was also adept in the usage of sacred language. She
was a genius who could master the sacred and spirit language in the sacred songs making her a
magician who used song instead of spells.

Both Earls were deemed as the most beautiful elves in their generation. Many elves and even males
of other species had confessed their love to them although ended up in vain. For Iraoha, combat skill
was everything. She declared that she would only approve someone who could create his own
original skill. Same goes for Akitsu, for her, Sacred Art was everything. She wouldn’t want to be with
anyone who couldn’t understand Sacred Language.

Both Earl Iraoha and Akitsu were attracted to prince Mark when they heard that he had created his
own battle technique that utilized a marksmanship skill and sacred art, creating unique skill nobody
had ever seen before. At first, they were just interested in discussing about the theme they were
interested in but because their interest gradually escalates into the prince himself while the prince
time was limited, they were started to compete for the prince’s time and it kept escalating until now.

Prince Mark’s last playmate was a tomboy girl who likes to crash into the prince training ground. She
was the daughter of the Military Vice Advisor, Earl Khira, Akina. Akina Felf Khira was raised as a child
of a militaristic family. She grew with tomboy personality and likes to do challenges. She met the
prince when she witnessed him training alone while trying to develop a new skill.

Getting her interest piqued, she challenged the prince straight ahead without knowing his true
identity. But Mark’s battle style was a bad match for her. She was forced to stay on the ground on
every challenge.

The frustration and curiosity started overwhelming her. She followed her father more often to the
castle and of course whenever she saw prince Mark in the training ground, she challenged him. It
was unknown to her whether it was herself who was attracted to Mark or it was her Beastkin Instinct
that pushed her to start seeing Mark as more than just a sparring partner.

Believe it as a coincidence or a fate, among the five playmates of the prince only few who had met
each other. Sakuya often go around with Mark as a self-proclaimed escort. She claimed that she
would protect him but most of the time, whenever she was alone with Mark was the moment when
she let her guard down. Also, she didn’t always stay by Mark’ s side as she had a swordsmanship
lesson from the Royal Guard’s Captain or joining the Royal Guard’s practical sparring.

Chi Nast’ moments with Prince Mark was mostly during his recess time between the etiquette lesson
or the tea party held by his mother. Mark in fact didn’t know, that there were many of her mother’s
personal chamberlain who wished to be the cupid for the prince and half-elf girl.

Iraoha and Akitsu would meet prince Mark during his free study session. Both of them would either
wait for the prince finished reading his book in the library or maintaining his weapons. As the gentle
prince who hardly smiles, talking with them about his interest had of course triggered his occasional
killer smile which made them slowly but surely falling into the abyss of their own emotion.

The moments with Akina happened during the spare time when the practical combat training ended
early. Prince Mark would use the chance when he was allowed to use the training ground to test his
new skills. That was the moment where Akina jumped in and sparred with Prince Mark. They would
have some quick chat too after the spar before Prince Mark left for his next schedule.

So, that was to said, the coincidental five-timing moment occurred without him knowing. The girls
were also didn’t know that there were other girls who had been spending time with Mark outside
their time. And thus, during the prince’s 16 birthday the five girls finally met…’

After the long monologue and the so realistic scene was replayed inside my head, finally I regained
my freedom. I tried to move around my limbs and stretched my back. It felt bit too light and there
were some discomforts but I had a limited time to think of a way out.

It seems like the game master really wanted me to get involved in this predetermined field of
carnage but if I leave this place without saying anything to my father, it would be a national problem
as he plans to make me a crown prince tonight.

Wait, I need to review the mission for the 2 nd stage. It would be weird if there’s no mission at all.

‘Welcome Challenger’
‘Stage Two’

‘Part I’

‘Designate the Party Name’

‘Designate the Party Home Base’

‘Reward: Status Screen Unlock’

It seems like there was no countdown in this phase. But, my identity as a prince was a hindrance in
this phase. First, Party Name… Since I am a royalty and had a Sentinel Class, would Sentinel’s Crown
Work?

Gosh, I need to check on the other members.

“Excuse me, you highness.”

A voice came from the door.

“Come in.”

I said to the maid. The maid entered. It seems like it was already time for me to go to the venue. In
other words, I’ve run out of time. I followed the maid to the party venue. As soon as I entered the
venue, I could see the glamorous decoration of the dancehall was more luxurious than last year. It
seems like my father was serious wanting me to become a Crown Prince this year.

I walked toward my father’s side. Just as how it was planned, I gave out a formal greeting for the
guests. The party started afterward. There was still time before the guest could hand their gift to me.
I secretly called for my father.

“Excuse me Father, can I have some of your time?”

I asked.

“What is it?”

He answered without looking at me.

“Actually, I might have screwed a big time here.”

I said without turning my head to him.

“Ah, you mean the fact you’re dating 5 girls at once?”

He responded.

“I didn’t actually date them or anything. None had confessed to anyone yet. Also, by chance they all
going to meet here in this venue. How do you think I can escape from this carnage?”

I asked.

“If you’re a man, don’t run away. Face it.”

He gave me an absurd reply. Luckily my face didn’t show my real thought due to my racial traits
otherwise I would have shown an unsightly look into our guests.
“Are you telling me to be a douchebag here? Didn’t you always telling me to love the woman I love
with sincerity? Where’s the sincerity of the five-timing person?”

I asked.

“Maa, it was better to face their wrath and take responsibility like a man than acting like a coward
who toys around the woman’s feeling and toss them away.”

My father explained.

“I see…”

I sighed. The present giving ceremony started afterward. It was one of the customs for the
unmarried ladies of the nobility to court the man who was single during the birthday. I gave them
my trained business smile to the ladies as a courtesy when I received their gift.

For someone expressionless like me, forcing a smile was more tiring than expected. But, I need to
hold on until the main target arrived. When the lines almost ended, finally my party member
approached me.

“Happy birthday, your highness. I wish that you will stay healthy always.”

“Thank you Sakuya.”

I said with a smile. Unlike before, for some reason I felt more relaxed this time.

“We-Well, I hope we can have a chat later.”

Sakuya said as she walked away flustered. I could see the eyes of the other four ladies were not
amused with the exchange earlier.

“Happy Birthday, Your Highness. I wish you will always in good health.”

“Thank you, Chi-chan.”

I thanked her. I intentionally used her pet name this time. The half elf flinched and retreated with
crimson face.

“Happy Birthday, Your Highness. It seems like you’ve grown accustomed in courting ladies without
us knowing.”

Iraoha said.

“Thank you, Iraoha-san. Well, there might be a special case this time. If possible, maybe I’ll spare
some of private time for us to talk?”

I whispered to her ear.

“We-Well, I’ll think about it later. Don’t get your head up too much as I’m quite busy you know.”

Iraoha said before leaving.

“My, I didn’t know that you’re quite a player, Your Highness. Also, Happy birthday, I wish that you
can stay healthy all the time.”

Akitsu said.
“Thank you, Akitsu-san. Well, I might be just trying to be courteous to the ladies who had spare their
time to attend my birthday.”

I replied.

“Hee… Coutesy, is it? Is the smile directed to me is also a courtesy smile?”

She asked bravely.

“Well, I wonder about that… Ah, also, is this gift also wasn’t an obligatory gift from a friend, is it fine
for me to give my serious response later?”

I whispered to her.

“WHa- You don’t mean-“

Akitsu was flustered.

“We-Well then, your Highness, please excuse me.”

The last person came forward.

“Ha-Happy birthday your highness. I-I-I- wish for your-“

Akina was stuttering from trying to give a proper greeting. She even wearing a dress that she didn’t
fond of. I bet the Earl forced her to wear it.

“Pu-“

I couldn’t hold my laughter.

“Please don’t laugh, I’m trying my best here.”

Akina protested in low voice.

“Sorry, seeing you flustered like this is so funny, Akina.”

I replied.

“In the first place, you never told me that you’re a prince you know?! I blanked out when my father
told me yesterday.”

She said.

“So, this gift is from the Earl, not from you?”

“No, it was from me. I barely get it done earlier.”

She said in lowered voice.

“I see… then I’ll accept it. Well, then maybe I should talk with the Earl later.”

I muttered.

“With my father? Why?”

She was dumbfounded.

“Eh? You lined without knowing the meaning?”

I asked. She tilted her head for a bit and pondered. Suddenly her face turned red and her ears
became restless.

“I-I-I-If your highness wi-wi-wished for it, I-I-I-I-I I don’t mind.”

She said in flustered manner. She is so cute that it kind of pricked my sadistic side. I leaned forward
and whispered to her ear.

“By the way, you’re very cute when wearing a dress. Maybe we’ll have to spend a time when you
dressed up like this.”

Akina had got short circuited. She couldn’t say anything back. She bowed as elegantly as she could
before leaving the stage.

“Phew”

I sat back down. I looked to the side and saw my father was looking at me dumbfounded.

“What’s wrong, Father?”

I asked.

“No, how come you changed your attitude from worried to confidence just like now? You’ve handled
those girls like a professional gigolo you know?”

He commented.

“Well, when I set my mind to make them mine, my body and mind just changed gears and it turned
into that.”

I replied.

“Well then, let’s get the cats into the bag in one swoop now.”

I muttered.

“Hmm? Do you need to go somewhere, Son? It’s almost the announcement time.”

He asked.

“I’ll be back soon.”

I said before heading to the dance area. I approached the nearest waiter.

“Hey, can I ask you a favor? Please tell lady Sakuya that I will be waiting for her in the balcony.”

I whispered to the waiter. He nodded and left right away. I repeated the process five times for the
other members of the party. Suddenly, I felt something was off. As if something was trying to stop
me from continuing.

“Mark-kun” “Mark-sama” “” Your Highness”” “Mark!”

The five girls called out to me almost at once.

“Eh?”

They were dumbfounded when they saw each other.

“What’s the meaning of this?”

They didn’t look amused.

“I’m just trying to be honest here.”

I declared.

“What do you mean?”

They asked.

“Actually, my father gave me a last chance. To chose a dancing partner for tonight.”

I stated a lie for now.

“Then, why did you call for all of us here?”

Akitsu asked in annoyance.

“A-Actually, I’m not sure myself. I know this is the worst choice I should made but if I were to choose
only one of you, I couldn’t bear the pain to see even one of you to cry because of me.”

“Is that your answer? After whispering sweet words to our ears earlier?”

Iraoha inquired.

“Yes, that’s why, I asked my father earlier to get a permission to marry five of you instead.”

I declared. I spread my hands.

“I’ll said it once. I don’t mind if you push me out from this balcony out of anger or slap me or stab
me whatever. All I want is just to hear your answer to my confession.”

I added. I closed my eyes.

Was it really a good answer? To be honest I’m scared. If I were pushed down to the balcony, I might
be still alive if I could use my skill in time. I heard footsteps was getting closer. I braced myself from
getting punched, pushed or slapped but it never came. Instead, I felt a soft sensation touched my
lips.

“AAAAAAA”

Voice of regrets came from some distance away. I opened my eyes and saw Sakuya was in front of
me with slightly flushed face. Her expression didn’t change much though.

“Please say something, idiot.”

She grumbled.

“That-
