    A rectangular concrete beam (fixed at both ends) supports a dead load of 20


    kN/m (including self weight) and a live load of 35 kN/m. It has a clear span of 4.5
    m. Steel Covering is 75 mm. F’c = 28 MPa, Fy = 415 MPa. Using NSCP (USD),

    a. Compute the maximum moment due to the ultimate loads


    b. If the width of the beam is 200 mm, compute its least depth using the
    maximum allowable reinforcement ratio
    c. Compute the maximum area of Steel.
