DESIGN YOUR OWN BOARD GAME

You are a board game manufacturer, and your task is to design a board

game that will help students review everything they read in a fun and

interesting way!

1. Read the book “Beowulf” uploaded on your Raz-Plus account.

2. Create a game board using a file folder, coloured paper, coloured

pencils, and markers. Put the name of your game on the tab of the folder

and decorate the inside so that it is a game board. Make it neat, colourful,

interesting, and creative.

3. Relate the format and purpose of your game to the book in some way.

Example: The game board is in the shape of a ship or the purpose is to

escape the evil monster.

4. Create at least 25 questions and answers for your game that relate to the

book.

5. Write directions for your game that would make it perfectly clear how to

play the game. Type the directions and glue them to the back cover of

the file folder.

6. There is an example board game provided below.

KEEP A CURIOSITY JOURNAL

Curiosity is essential to engagement and learning. People who ask

questions take ownership of their education and learn problem solving. If you

always have questions in your mind, this project is just for you.

1. Have a notebook as your Curiosity Journal. You can buy it or you can

make it by yourself.

2. Record your questions into your journal.

3. Questions from any subject (History, Science, Civilisations, etc.) are happily

welcomed.

4. Research the answers and record them as well.

5. Share one interesting thing that they learned about with your family and

friends weekly.
MAKE A BOOK TRAILER

Are you ready to take your favourite book to the next level? Filming

teaches you to slow down and that every exposure counts. So let’s combine

your favourite book and your filming skills together.

1. Pretend that your favourite book is going to be made into a movie.

2. Create a video trailer to advertise the movie.

3. Make your family and friends watch your trailer. Have fun! Good luck!
