ELN NIGERIA – BUSINESS MANAGER

Danone Nigeria is a 50 M€ business, it is a fast-growing FMCG Company with operation in Dairy and infant nutrition. Our
Ambition is to become a 100 M € in 3 years.
The infant nutrition (ELN Nigeria) category is one of the key pillars of growth and expansion in portfolio & innovation, RTM
and market share. ELN Nigeria is also a key asset for our credibility with an ambition to positively impact children’s health
through food (One Health).
The Business Manager position is fully in charge of the ELN business and its P&L, reporting to the Managing Director, Danone
Nigeria.
This position is located in Lagos, Nigeria

Profile
Education : Cross-competencies master /bachelor in economics or business/marketing
Experience : Minimum 12 years of experience in Sales
Significant Roles in Sales including RTM, Sales force and distributor management
Marketing and/or Medical & Management experience on top of sales will be appreciated
Stakeholder Management Skills
Experience in nutrition and infant formular will be an added advantage
Language : English

Main Activities

Topline
- Together with its management team, identify strategic bets for Nigeria and translate it into
actionable plan & P&L
- Review and optimize Plans (Marketing, HN & Sales) in order to maximize topline
outputs
- Lead a cross-functional management team including Marketing, HN and Sales
and create a strong team spirit
- Lead a total team of more than 25 Danoners
- Ensure penetration of the brand

Organization
- Create a high performing team by ensuring strong individuals recruitment and development
- Create an efficient & professional work environment able to deliver sales growth &
economic results within specific time frame
- Together with the HR department, recommend and implements organization optimization in
order to maximize profitable growth
- Ensure an excellent communication with internal Danone stakeholders (Limonest & SBU Africa,
Fanmilk) in order to optimise processes, identify synergies locally
- Foster Danone CODES values implementation
- Ensure the respect of Danone compliance rules and build strong plans for their implementation
together with the GS team

Strategy :
- Shape the environment we play in.
- Lead and coordinate our initiatives around healthy infant and toddler nutrition to enable
sustainable growth by ensuring ELN is recognized as most trusted industry partner.
- Contribute to the definition & implementation of the overall vision & strategies in Africa.
- Together with his team, identify relevant insights and needs to develop West Africa market
- Recommend, together with his team some breakthrough actions to accelerate growth
- Foster strong relationships with professionals and stakeholders in the healthcare nutrition space
in Nigeria
